Ever since they took away the counters, when the machines don't work for what customers want, they have to end up doing what the counters used to from their office, but the customer can't see them doing it, or customers have to go upstairs to use the business counter.

I have just wasted 40 minutes of my life in this dreariest of banks, dark gloomy interior, poor musac, one NWB person dealing with all customers, other staff working behind wall at back of bank refused to assist. I went in feeling the joys of summer, came out manic depressive, whoever designed the interior did a first class job-aim to force people away from NWB. Time to change banks.

Staff nice enough but went in to transfer money using Chaps (which took over an hour) which cost us £44 for same day delivery one payment was great got there as promised that day the other has yet to arrived even after 3 days!! Cannot get hold of this branch by phone so phoned the number given on their website it was their call centre they said they would email them the complaint and get them to ring me that day this was at 10 30am ...well there is 15 mins left of trading and still haven't heard a thing...awful service have not got what I paid for and still can't get hold of anyone....Still awaiting ....

This bank was brilliant and super helpful. Had to visit as was away from home and was unable to get my request sorted online. The team were able to assist me quickly, helpfully and went the extra mile to sort out my miniature crisis quickly for me so my mortgage payment went through. Thanks to Roberta who was excellent.

I received a call today from Jane Stanley who works at this Branch. This call was a follow up to some information I had requested online. I just wanted to highlight how helpful she was. Absolutely excellent customer service, a knowledgeable and professional employee. Its great to see a big bank bank maintaining a local professional interface for its customers.

I only joined this bank as it was local, so I can speak to people and deposit money without travelling miles. Then they closed down RWB, west Swindon and the old branch in Swindon with counters. They have now opened only branch for miles around in the centre of Swindon shopping centre, with no counters and only staff walking around with clipboards who look as if they have just left school, who are rude if you need to ask how to use the machines for what staff used to do. When machines don't work even when they try them, they get you to go upstairs where there is a counter which is just supposed to be for business users, but used for ordinary banking because ordinary banking needs counters.

Called into the town centre branch Monday 17 June wanted to put a chq into my account and change some Euro's i had left from my holiday....what a fiasco i had to go upstairs to wait in the buisness que with about 7 people in it and only one person serving, after 20 minutes i went back down stairs with all the lovely decor and polite lady on the door directing people were to go!! BUT NO STAFF TO SERVE YOU. When i questioned why there was only one till open upstairs she smiled politely again and said oh we only ever have one till open upstairs!! I rest my case thankfully i dont live in swindon so no need for me to use this particular branch again......

impossible to bank with. needed to deposit some money but when I got there at 4 45 i found out they close at 4.30. no bank closes that early ....... useless bank. no personal touch either, impossible to do banking with an actual person. all accounts have now been moved elsewhere .

Called in to collect some paying-in books, business account. waited almost an hour to be told "not there". As I left there were another 7 or eight business customers waiting. Of the three serving counters they had only one open. A lady pleaded with them to open another counter which they did BUT then closed the one that had been open. Tragic customer service.

They closed down small helpful local branches. I had a text message at 10:30am to say my account was overdrawn by less than a Pound and I would have to pay the money in by 2. I only saw the message while I was having lunch at 1, and it took 1/2 hour to drive to Swindon to deposit the money.
