I had to come in around 5 times over the past month due to issues surrounding claiming my CTF - there was mostly issues surrounding identification. However, in the past 2 days, I was able to finally claim it thanks to the help of (I believe her name was) Eva who was excellent and went above and beyond to help me sort it out and put that money into a savings account with Nationwide.

I am a nationwide member I came into nationwide at regent on 30th April 2025 at 12.06pm and had trouble with the ATM machine's. Two lovely staff called Sally and the branch manager Emma who helped me to sort it out. I'm so very happy with the service they gave me on that day. Yvonne Lane

My elderly mother had a letter advising her to pop into her local branch to get her passbook changed over. She goes to the Regent Street branch, queued and explained to the teller why she was there. Teller obviously fed up of this line of enquiry told her she cannot get it done she has to make an appointment, she tries to make an appointment to be told you can't make an appointment you have to phone at 9am, any later and there will be none left and you'd have to call the next day. Really abrupt, argumentative and rude. Reason you can't make an appointment in branch? They would run out of appointments! Standards and customer service have really gone downhill at Nationwide and the way they dealt with an elderly customer was enlightening and a sign of how unimportant the older generation are to Nationwide - in fact the way this "new" system discriminates against and makes things difficult for the elderly is disgusting. Currently researching different banks/building societies....

Fairer share scheme is totally unfair share scheme. I've had a Nationwide account for over 40 years, mortgages, insurances, I still have a flex account and an e savings account and buildings and contents insurance with them, pay in money every month into my flex account, have all my direct debits with them, yet I don't qualify, but someone who opened an account last year with £100 in savings does. Absolutely ridiculous system, totally alienating their customers and now I'm going to be shutting down all my accounts and moving my insurances, they don't care about long standing customers. It's shocking how they've treated loyal customers.

I went into the branch to report a lost card and was told a new one had been ordered and that it would be with me in 3-5 working days. After 10 days i went back into the branch and was told ?it was in the post? and would be with me soon. I waited some time then decided to ring the call centre which then i was told the card was never ordered in the first place!
