Girl on the phone had no idea what she was doing. The wait was absolutely ages and the foot was greasy and stone cold. Rubbish all around and I never bother to write reviews

Ordered a donner meat and chips and waited 35 mins to get the actual food . Other customers who came in after me got served before .
The actual donner meat was half burnt and so was the chips.

My southern fried chicken was not edible dry and well over cooked.
Also my haddock was over cooked

Absolutely terrible service. Got shouted at by an older male staff member for asking them to check and correct my order (I needed a certain dietary need for a medical condition) as a young girl this was very scary and unpleasant. Only to be confronted by the whole family, and basically got my food thrown at me. Really horrible experience. Never again, lots of other lovely family run chip shops around.

Fresh fish and good portion sizes. I travel a bit further than my local chippies just to buy from Monica's.
Downmarked the atmosphere because of the Deliveroo driver shouting into his phone for 10 minutes while waiting.

We had fish and chips from Monica's tonight in Swindon, and we have to say it was awful. The fish was overcooked and dry, and the chips were like scrag ends.

Not as good as it used to be. Last couple of visits have been less than good. Ordered pie and chips, the chips were fine, the pie was stone cold and what I can only describe as wet. Very odd. Will try somewhere else.

Best fish and chips we have ever tasted! The place is exceptionally clean, and the service is prompt. The shop owners are diligent and very amiable.

Huge portions, hot and cooked to perfection. Have only tried the fish and chips but they do offer burger, kebabs etc.
EDIT: Not sure if this place is under new management, but the chips used to be my favourite part of the meal. Unfortunately, the chips were subpar. Tasted old and ?off? - very disappointing and likely the last time I?ll visit.

Pointless phoning my order through as I still had to wait 25 minutes on top of the 15 minutes I was told, these lot also own Philips down on cricklade road, so ignore the older reviews as when it was Philips it was great!!!

Ordered small doner wrap and the size of it the large battered sausage is bigger I asked for sauce came with no sauce very dry chips were soaked in oil definitely not worth the money
