It's ok for a quick drink and cake whilst my husband finishes parkrun.
It can become quite loud once full.
My biggest concern is that there is a small step to access making wheelchair access very difficult and unsafe. All it requires is a small rubber ramp at one of the doors to allow smooth and safe entry/exit.

We recently celebrated our daughter?s birthday at the cafe and were truly touched by the warmth, care, and attention to detail shown by Barb and her fab team. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and looked after, yet free to host our little guests at our own relaxed pace - no rushing, no pressure. The food was fresh, beautifully prepared, and served exactly when we needed it. The area had been thoughtfully cordoned off and styled with care (we could also put up our own decorations), it felt special without being showy, and all done in a way that didn?t disturb other guests. Those who already know the park, would agree that the surroundings are great with ample of parking (reasonably charged).
While I can?t speak to previous reviews, I?d gently encourage anyone to give them a chance. Bring your love and warmth, and you?ll find it returned in kind. They truly go out of their way to make you feel cared for.

Very welcoming and accomodating for our large group. Hot chocolate was lovely. Great location right by the play park and walks in the woods.

The staff were very helpful in organising our big party, moving tables and chairs to accommodate us all. Our drinks all came quickly and efficiently and we had a wonderful time in the cafe as our family reunited on a wet day.

We were looking for a convenient spot to meet between Bristol and Reading to catch up with my wife?s family, and this place turned out to be perfect. Despite the terrible weather, the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable, even opening up a section so we could all sit together. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service made all the difference. We?d definitely choose to meet here again?highly recommended!

The best hot chocolate! Honestly better than any other I have tried. Not tried anything else from here, never sat in to drink it but the hot chocolate alone is worth 5*s. Also add the orange syrup to your hot chocolate (you will not regret it).

It's about what you would expect from a council run facility. Inflexible and often rude staff spoil what could be an amazing cafe.
They often close off seating sections well before closing time so they don't have to stay late to clean up. Doesn't matter if you can't get a seat after just buying food from them.

Got moaned at for sitting in closed off area even though no other tables available this was at 3.15. Closed at 4 but 2 doors locked at 3.30 leaving one exit not good from a fire risk point of view as place was busy and I had a pushchair. Could have been more friendly

First time of going. Lovely idea and layout. Lots for the little ones to do, animals to see, play park, big bouncy castle, tractors for them to ride around on,space to run around. Cafe is lovely, lots of choice and the cakes.ams.cream.tea were delicious. The farm shop is beautifully laid out with local grown products, fridges full of local meats, cheese, eggs, milk and beautiful fresh flowers. Definitely recommend and will go again.

We visited this cafe a couple of weeks ago. To say it was dire is an understatement, the service, the food and one lady in particular was beyond rude. We had a very rare day out in the park with my son and his little family, so it was a precious day to say the least. The woman who was I'm guessing 'cooked' the food if you could call it cooking was unbelievably unpleasant. A sausage bap was paid for but never came, we asked where it was after quite some time had passed. When it finallyarrived it was anaemic, looked like the cheapest sausage you could buy and had seen a couple of seconds in a microwave, it was an insult, she literally threw it on the counter because I was busy seeing to the baby and didn't hear her. I heard some remark about being 'too busy with the baby'. If I had been alone there would have been fireworks but because we had children with us we just walked out. Should have got a refund to be honest. She should not be serving customers. We will never go back to that cafe and we will not be recommending this cafe to ANYONE. The rest of the staff were ok and pleasant enough but looked demoralised
