Stayed here while ee visited Stonehenge. And while we were only there for one night, the overall experience was first class. From the spacious room, to the fantastic food, and impeccable service, our stay was made extremely enjoyable.Even though we left early to visit the stones, the owners even boxed us up a breakfast to go as we were too early to sit in and eat. This alone showed how much they are prepared to go above and beyond for their guests.

We stayed in the Colonel room. Beautiful place. Quiet. Not a modern building, but has a modern touch. Our room was inviting, comfortable and tastefully decorated. There is a booklet that gives a brief history of its owners and events. Rollestone manor is a get-away to relax type of stay. There is no shopping district within walking distance, which is fine with me. The surrounding trees and vegetation provide additional seclusion, especially at night. The darkness transforms the manor into an eerie yet calming setting and gives it a dramatic effect to the mind. Peering out into the lobby and down the steep staircase at 2am was like being in a movie about the supernatural. I loved every moment. I highly recommend it. It is a fabulous place to stay.

Our second visit was as enjoyable as our first at Rollestone Manor. There were 7 adults at a family catch-up and we all had a lovely time. Once again the food at dinner was delicious, definitely a highlight of a stay here, make sure you book a table! Equally tasty was the breakfast too, all freshly cooked with plenty of tea, coffee and toast offered. Even though the building is quirky and obviously of an age the ensuite bathrooms are very clean and modern. Very much enjoyed our night here, you definitely feel welcomed when you stay here.

Stayed the night before my sisters wedding. The owners were very friendly and polite. Room was fine, nice furnishings, bathroom was spacious with nice towels etc. In the morning we had to dash off due to a wedding issue, so we couldn't make breakfast. The owners kindly kept some bacon back and put it in a sandwich for us on our return. I think it was a shame we had to keep asking for glasses etc for the prosecco and mugs for tea so the hair and make up people could have something too , seeing as they knew they were here and the room only had a 2 mugs etc. But everything we asked was brought up so I do appreciate that. I would highly recommend the hotel and its in a lovely location.

I don't understand the 5 star reviews. It is so terrible . We arrived for our 18th anniversary. My husband booked because everyone had given it 5 stars . In retrospect that seems rather strange. We have stayed at some amazing hotels biu actually it it rather hard to get 5 stars. The entry past a rather run down group of sheds , ok we though might be ok inside. We entered a rather odd reception area. The placed smelt of deep fried fat . It was really bad . We had booked dinner. I looked in , the restaurant was so shabby . I looked in the bar area which was tiny and might be able to seat maybe 8 people at a push . It had a lot of taxidermy then fluffy bunny art on the wall . It really was not a place for a relaxing glass of wine .I dread to think what the wine choices were . So the room . Well in honesty we did see a room that looked rather nice . However our room was awful! Dark dingy overlooking a modern extension of rooms. It was clean but tiny and depressing. I sat in the chair and wept. My husband was so upset , after the reviews he had expected more. He asked if we could change rooms even offerd to pay more . He was so distressed bless him. Told whole place booked to a wedding party that were due back at midnight . They had extended their curfew , Oh happy days . We left immediately. We were refused a refund , even part would have helped... then drove 2and a half hours home. We were so so sad .

We have just returned from a family function in the area and stayed at Rollestone Manor. The hotel exceeded our expectations. The surroundings are beautiful, with the lovely sound of horses in the nearby field. Our hosts were lovely. So accommodating to all of our many needs. Breakfast was delicious, with everything you could ask for. We had an evening meal which was equally as delicious. The chef/owner is very talented. The bedrooms were very clean and the beds and pillows were super comfy. The shower was better than my one at home. The added extras were a nice touch too. I cannot recommend Rollestone Manor more highly and plan to make an annual trip there.

We had an overnight stay at Rollestone Manor during our trip to visit Stonehenge. We were very pleased with how close it is to Stonehenge as we had a very early Stone Circle Tour. It is a very quaint, old world B&B. The room was very large as was the bathroom. We had dinner there which was excellent! My husband had the steak and I had the mussels and frites?delicious! We also had breakfast there after Stonehenge the next day, and it was also very good (you have to order the night before). Cheers to the chef! The overall feel was a bit stuffy and formal. I would, however, stay here again if visiting Stonehenge.

A great place, a nice atmosphere and above all we were very kind and looked after very well by Julia. The breakfast was a poem. Thank you Julia for the great stay you have prepared for us. Greetings Matthew.

My fiancee and I had a nice stay in the luxury double room with four poster bed and roll top bath recently and throughly enjoyed our stay. The manor is situated in beautiful gardens with some chairs and tables under the trees for you to relax during your stay. There isn't a great deal within walking distance, but that wasn't a problem for us as we were quite happy sitting in the garden area with a glass of wine or two, watching the horses running around the paddock and enjoying the fresh evening country air. As others have mentioned, I think the only negative comment would be the closing of the doors at 11 p.m. I have been fortunate enough to travel the world and have visited 60 countries to date. We fully understand that hotel owners want to secure their building at night, but to keep guests "prisoners" (albeit in comfort and luxury), is not reasonable. We are by no means "party animals", but we do like to go for a walk or would even have liked just to sit in the garden a bit longer (or at least until we wanted to return and not feel like there was a curfew). Surely a key could be provided as in 100% of other hotels around the world? That said, we really enjoyed our stay and the hosts were very friendly and courteous throughout our stay. Thanks also for the wonderful breakfast.

Everyone in our group agreed that our stay at Rollestone Manor was excellent. Paula and Cyrille were brilliant hosts who made us feel very relaxed and were very attentive to our needs. The rooms and grounds blended old world charm and modern function very well. We had a wonderful evening meal and breakfast during our stay, both of which were cooked to perfection. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

We visited Rollestone Manor in July this year , our 1st visit .A warm welcome from the staff , up the steep stairs to or room.A large tidy room with roll top bath and four poster bed.We had dinner in the restaurant , a good choice at a reasonable cost , we ate there both nights of our stay. Breakfast was cooked just as I like it , with coffee , juice and toast to follow.Well worth a visit , with Stonehenge just down the road .
