Couldn?t be bothered to open.
Despite advertising opening times on website and Google, turns out they won?t open if it looks like it might rain.

Coffee was delicious but the cheese scone & carrot were dry and disappointing

Asking a premium price for a non premium product. The pulled lamb burger from the Smokehouse was pretty rubbish. Bun, Salad, and very small spoon of Pulled Lamb. Can't imagine it cost any more than a £1 to make, yet charging almost £10. Far better food in the local area, for that price.

The small breakfast was a bit too small for the price, bacon was very overcooked, only had half a slice of toast.

Good chips. Terrible beef and lamb burgers - pre cooked, soggy, tasteless. They obviously don't expect any customers to return.

We ar Friends of Westonbirt and have been members since 20218. The old set up in the cafe was awkward, but at least you didn't have to wait in a half empty cafe for a coffee for up to 20 minutes. Through the warmer months we like to take a flask of coffee and sit in amongst the trees for a rest and drink. In the cold months we have our coffee in the cafe and this is the third time we have been in the cafe this winter. The layout of it has been drastically changed as has the system of ordering. Now you have to find a table and when you get served at the counter you state which table it is. That's quite a good game if you are on your own. The first time we did this we were told to find a table and come back to do our order. By the time we had ordered our coffees someone else had sat at the table we quoted. My wife had stayed with me to see if she wanted anything from the cake selection. We found another table and told the staff and then sat a waited for about 20 minutes until someone decided that we had waited long enough for them to be bothered to serve us. The old system of being given a stick with a number on it worked. This system is a complete nonsense and if the cafe didn't have such a captive audience I could see it collapsing in a big heap! But I suppose they rely on visitors coming in and no matter how many go away disappointed there's always new ones. Wake up manager and do your job. That is to keep your customers happy! Look at the negative results and do something about it!

Had a lovely walk around the Arboretum and ended it with a nice coffee and cake. However, I was sat on a table near the till and witnessed a male who I assume was the manager speak very rudely and raise his voice to a lady and the staff. I was left feeling uncomfortable and believe the whole situation was inappropriate so I went over to check if the lady was okay. Also, although the cake was nice I don't believe it was worth the price

We visit Westonbirt very regularly, and the hot chocolate is absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately the staff and customer service has gone downhill massively over the last few months. On average even when there's no queue you are waiting around for 10 minutes for someone to notice you - for the past few visits I have had to leave and go to the coffee hut by the entrance (the staff are delightful and welcoming there) as it hasn't been worth the wait. The restaurant is very over priced and when I had breakfast a month ago it was a very small portion and luke warm at best which arrived 40 minutes after I ordered. It's such a shame because the restaurant is lovely itself but lacking welcoming and efficient staff.

Great after a walk.

Have been visiting for years and often stop for a coffee and sometimes breakfast. Sadly the cost as gone up a lot and the quality and amount of food gone down. On the plus side they have produced a small breakfast for nearly half the price of a full breakfast. The small one is plenty for most people?sausage, bacon, egg, beans, tomato and half slice of toast. The full breakfast however is not twice the amount of food ! The coffee is good and you get a decent size cup of it. Tea , they have recently reduced the size of the teapot. Shall not be eating there again as very expensive overall.e

Enjoyable visit, good service and good food. We tried some garlic breaded mushrooms.

Unfortunately, we were overwhelmed with Wasps, absolutely nightmare just trying to drink tea or coffee, don't even try to have a cake, outside.

Too many bees. And doggos can't go in the restaurant so eating there gets ruined by being attacked by loads of bees

We stopped at the restaurant after a lovely walk around the Arboretum. On first impressions the menu was extremely limited. The service was okay however the waitress did drop some of our food on the floor and did not apologise. Two of us ordered the pulled ham mac and cheese which had an unmelted block of blue cheese on the top which was vile. We both felt sick after eating. The jacket potato was cold on arrival which was disappointing. The sharing platter consisted of ?freezer food? such as chicken wings, onion rings and breaded mushrooms which were extremely watery and tasteless. Overall, I?d recommend bringing your own food or leaving the site and eat at pub in Tetbury.

We stopped at the restaurant after a walk where I ordered the mac and cheese and 2 friends of mine ordered the jacket potato and a sharing board. The mac and cheese was one of the most hideous meals I?ve ever had in my life and the sharing board was just as bad, with the breaded mushrooms being watery and soggy and the cauliflower bites being cold and horribly seasoned. Service was alright however a waitress dropped some food and didn?t apologise for doing so. I?m in no rush to go back there.
