Of all the Timpson's I've visited over the years, spread far and wide across this fair Isle, this branch on Butcher's Row in Salisbury is my hands down favourite. This is thanks to one thing, or rather one person, Barry (look for the ponytail ?). Barry is friendly, chatty, helpful and above all has the kind of knowledge and attention to detail (not least when it comes to watches) that only comes with experience and dedication to the business. Personally I'd rather forego a trip to a closer Timpsons just to get Barry's expert eye and opinion in Salisbury (he should get an award... not so much Employee of the Month... more like Best Employee in perpetuity). Highly recommended.

I tripped on a raised pavement slab and part of the sole of my Christian Louboutin boot came away. I went in to see if Timpsons could fix it and not only did Barrie do a wonderful job, he re-soled them too in the iconic red! Thank you so much Barrie, you saved me a fortune!I will definitely be back!

Unbelievable service ? had a car key issue which the guy not only sorted, but explained everything about how car fobs operate. A joy to spend money here. Such a professional outlet.

Went in today with my partner as he wanted to get a bracelet engraved with his name and his brothers name (who sadly passed away a couple of years back). the manager and my partner were having just normal friendly chit chat which turned into a bit of a heart to heart on both behalf?s about the names etc and as my partner went to pay the manager would not accept payment as he wanted to make my partner smile through a tough time. I cannot thank him enough. He really has made my partners day and has showed us that kind people really do exist. I cannot recommend Timpsons enough.thank you so so much!

Went there 10.30am Tuesday, only to find the door locked. I turned round and started to walk off when a voice said 'you can't get through a locked door, and I'm entitled to a break.The guy then unlocked the door. I asked the chap if he could cut a new key from the blank I had provided. Immediately, he said "no, can't cut customer provided keys" to which I asked why (I'm a key cutter myself, I just don't have the right machine for the key) and he said "insurance". Well, I'm thinking somebody's going to pop out with a camera and microphone in a minute, this must be a spoof program or something.But, no, he was being serious... so then I asked, can he provide the blank? "We can order it". I walked out, what a pathetic work shy individual. Won't ever recommend Timpson again, the guy doesn't even know Timpsons own rules on customer provided blanks.
