We came in because we saw a 4.9 rating. We ordered the sea bream and the sirloin. The fish was dry and rice overcooked, and the sirloin was actually not sirloin, the meat was hard and chewy. Upon asking the waitress she apologized and said they had a problem with the butcher and they would take the meat back and not charge us. But they had tried to give us a piece of meat that was not sirloin! Finally we got the caramelized bread pudding as dessert and it was totally black burned and bitter, not caramelized. In summary, a disappointing experience, particularly for the price. The waitress was however very nice and friendly.

Upstairs restaurant with tables set around a large space with the bar at one end and overlooking the Market Square at the other. Enjoyed our three courses although the unusual ice creams were not that special. Pleasant and efficient young staff. Happy to go again albeit on the expensive side.

A small but a fabulous restaurant. A menu with so many choices and at very acceptable prices. Service is excellent and food is a real pleasure. Good atmosphere with good background music. A really good find in Salisbury.

For top quality, fine dining in Salisbury there really is nothing to match Allium. With a small, personalised feel the beautiful, hand crafted dishes of perfect portions and exceptional quality are presented in good time and the very well thought out menu has something for everyone, as does the wine list. I couldn?t fault a thing. The final surprise was the good value as at the end of such a pleasurable, perfect experience I would expect it to cost more than it did.

Had a great night out at Allium. The dining area was cosy with low lighting and we were shown to a nice window table overlooking Market Square. My wife and I ordered pigs cheek and sea bass starters, both well presented and delicious. (We skipped wine, as it was rather expensive and prices at the restaurant differed from those posted on the website) For mains, I had beef rump with carrots and my wife had the hake dish. Again, both were cooked well, presented beautifully and tasted great, albeit a little luke warm for my liking. The meal was finished off with lemon posset and a serving of treacle tart with ice cream - both were very nice and a nice finish to the meal. Overall cost was reasonable considering the quality of the cooking and service. The only strange thing was that through the door signed 'toilet' led you into a staircase which resembled a squalid student flat, up to the tiny toilet area, which needs a bit of updated decoration. Overall great restaurant.

Superb experience.
Very fine dining. Not cheap but reasonably priced for the stunning quality on offer. Reassuringly small and well balanced menu & I could have chosen anything off it and been happy. All 3 courses were cooked to perfection with layers of flavour and textures. Good selection of drinks and wines.
Service was excellent. Highly recommended as a very special place to celebrate birthdays or other family special occasions.

Always a pleasure dining here, it's not the cheapest but it's certainly not expensive considering the quality of the meals.
Always a consistently high standard of ingredients and flavours.
Definitely recommend and has never disappointed in the many times I've eaten here.

Very tasty, creative and delicious menu and good drink selection. Something different and really enjoyed the experience. Relaxed environment and much attention to detail including explanations of exactly what was in each dish we had.
