A total nightmare. stay away. work in tourism since 1992 this hotel is all a joke. actually a nightmare! I complain after 5 minutes they gave me the room that I wasnt expecting a room with a single bed and a shower that is so little that I cant even fit inside and internet is not working at all. she replied I will fix internet. i was expecting that they would change my room. internet never worked. Place is collapsing and in need of a big renovation.

We had to cancel our reservation due to emergency surgery, we contacted them on the 5th day which allowed free cancellation and they charged the card anyway and have refused a refund, we have not been given a credit note or any further contact, upon phoning we had some arrogant man who refused to give let us speak to a manager as he stated the matter has been closed, he also refused to give us his name and proceeded to hang up on me.

The hotel was suggested to us as an alternative on booking.com. Our originally planned hotel was canceled at short notice due to damage.
The hotel seemed clean. The service is particularly noteworthy. The owner is very friendly, polite and accommodating to the guests.
Why do I only give the room 4 out of 5 stars? This was because our bed in the room was too small for us. That's the only thing I wasn't good at. The breakfast is variable and you can choose whether it is vegetarian or not. The prices for food and drinks are clearly stated and visible. We'll be back.

Old school room but very clean
The view of the cows grazing is truly pleasant
I can't give 5 because having a small child they couldn't provide an adequate meal for him

Wonderful stay in this hotel. The welcome, the room, the breakfast and the chef's little dishes, everything is great. The kindness of Karen the owner is incredible. A great place that I highly recommend. Thank you for this wonderful stay and a big hug to Fred the house dog.

Un endroit magnifique avec un accueil très chaleureux. On se croyait en famille. Une literie très confortable et une chambre très cosy. D'excellents plats et un petit déjeuner royal. Un calme reposant et un superbe paysage. Karen la propriétaire était extrêmement gentille et son mari un Chef talentueux. Merci à eux et gros bisous à Fred le chien affectueux.Franck et Valérie

I called today to enquire about hosting an 80th birthday party in their advertised space but was greeted by a very defensive member of staff. I was told the number would be too many, and what food would I want. When I replied saying the number was only an approximation and we were gathering ideas I was told ?yeah we won?t do that? and that everything depended on the people and ?we are full until next year anyway?. They then hung up the phone. Really poor customer service for a business who could have had a party of people paying for food and drinks.

We always enjoy our stays at the Schoolhouse Restaurant and Hotel; for excellent food, a warm welcome and good value for money you can't beat it!! Will definitely return soon!!Food & drinks: The menu is excellent and all the dishes so far sampled have been delicious!!
