Very friendly welcome and copious amounts of good English grub. Traditional pub with good beer too. Highly recommend.

Perfect Sunday lunch, as good as you get at home. Incredible attention to detail and welcoming of doggies. Would eat there every week of my waistline didn?t suffer.

Having recently moved to the village, we have had cause to visit the Winterbourne Arms on multiple occasions over the past few weeks because we are frankly too tired to cook for ourselves due to unpacking etc. The food and drink is excellent, but that is largely irrelevant because the service is astoundingly good. Sarah and Jane are wonderfully personable and will remember those small details about you which set them apart from being 'just another pub'. The carvery is bloody brilliant too.

We ate as a family of 8, 4 adults and 4 children.
3 of the children all ordered a children?s Mac n cheese and to say the children?s menu is up to a 12 year old the portions were that of a 4/5 year old. On leaving the pub we noticed a single child at another table with the same meal which was considerably larger than all 3 of our children?s meals. It?s seems the portion was shared between our 3 children rather than 3 full portions but still charged the full price for children?s meal.
The sirloin steak was very dry and not warm and served with some cold fries and a single giant beef tomato.
The Camembert was served with 2 big bread buns that weren?t very fresh and also the Camembert wasn?t hot and unable to dip bread in as hadn?t been heated high enough.
The steak and ale pie was served lovely & hot and very tasty.
It wasn?t a cheap meal for the family and I feel for the prices we paid the food isn?t up to scratch.
The staff were lovely and the drinks were lovely.

Food potions were very small. Food was cold and not what expected at all. Service was good and menu was over priced. Overall not a great meal at all

Varied menu and friendly service.
The steaks are cooked exactly to request.
The pies dishes are certainly filling.
Always enjoy my meals here when visiting family.

Melt in the mouth beef from there Carver. Lush homemade stuffing all served with a smile.
