As a group of 5 we recently went to the Earl of Normanton for the first time ,and had a very good evening. The atmosphere was very good, and the staff very helpful. The starters, main courses and drinks were lovely and we look forward to returning. Thanks

Fantastic impromptu meal. Originally booked a table for drinks but decided we?d get some food as the menu looked really good. The staff took this in their stride and treated us to a great meal with service to match. Food and drinks sensibly priced will return again soon.

We visited on a busy week night with no booking made, however the staff were brilliant at making space for us and accommodating us. The menu is a great example of British finest pub food. The steak and ale pie was spectacular and I?ve tasted a fair few in pubs over the years. The pub is interesting and quirky building and the atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend.

I picked this pub as it?s mid way between us and where my son lives, for us to all meet up to have Sunday lunch.
From the moment we walked in to the moment we left everything was?perfect! I could go on about the attentive and friendly service, the delicious food and huge portions and the special attention my daughter in laws dog got but all I will say is?just go there and try it all!!!!
We will be back!!!

First time at the 'The Earl' and was not disappointed
In particular, the staff were extremely friendly and efficient. Menu was varied and very good value (the Beef and Ale pie was delicious).
It's very clean, nicely decorated, and spacious. One minor issue is the car park, which quite rightly gets full quickly, and parking becomes a bit more of a trial. Other than that, I liked it and will certainly go back.

Had a great lunch today.
Steak & ale pie was full of meat & served with a big portions of new potatoes & mixed veg, broccoli, carrots & cabbage.
The ham, eggs & chips was excellent, nice ham, plentiful chips & perfectly cooked eggs.
The staff were very friendly & attentive checking if I would like butter for the new potatoes & returning to see if more gravy was required.
To top it off they had an excellent selection of ales on tap!
