Popped in here a few days ago on a Friday afternoon having not been here since 1988! Very friendly pub with good service and a nice atmosphere with friendly locals. Hope to return again. We did not eat so cannot comment on food but a lovely place.

Friendly staff and great food, lovely outdoor seating area for a quiet pint on a sunny evening.

Wonderfully quaint pub. Friendly staff couldn?t enough for you. Sensational food. Pleasant atmosphere. Will definitely be returning. King Prawn burger and Angus burger were beautifully cooked all fresh tasting.

We sat out in the courtyard in a peaceful spot with the baby and found it a charming little place. Variety of drinks to choose from and lovely menu. We opted for bar snacks to share such as the squid bites and the salt and pepper chicken which were very yummy and portion size did very well for the prices. We will definitely be back!

Didn't realise that it had new owners. Food was lovely but the atmosphere wasn't as warm and friendly as before. The young girl greeted us eventually but the young never bothered to greet us. Shame, it was a lovely pub run with the previous owner.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly service, great beer and other drinks, however we were met with a diabolically bad roast dinner. Boiled veg, dry unseasoned roast potatoes, thin slices of vastly overcooked beef. Would go back for drinks but avoid the Sunday roast at all cost!

Great place to stop off on an A303 journey. Very friendly quick service on a sunny a Sunday lunch. Good menu choice of light and main courses. We had chicken wings and salt chilli squid and Caesar salad. Pretty garden, easy parking

Recently changed hands after a very successful 20 year run by the previous landlord. I have been going for longer than that and eaten here hundreds of times with much pleasure. Whilst the new management have tidied things up a little (not too much) they have ruined the menu and taken away the Malet Burger (no bun but a big blob of signature cheesy bacon goo) which probably accounted for 50% of food orders. There is also now no steak and chips which must make them unique for an English pub. The malet will still score highly from passing traffic but the locals who sustain it year round will vote with their feet unless these basics are addressed. And I hope they are. I wish the new team good luck.

Proper pub tucked away in a peaceful spot; freehouse, good beer and service, all 4 of us happy with our meals, love the slightly eclectic artwork. Few picnic benches by the stream outside for sunny days

This pub is an absolutely brilliant find. It sits past a ford beside a stream in a pretty village on the edge of Salisbury Plain, and is like a pub from the old days.
Very friendly service, delicious food, roaring fire, and a super pretty location. Plus very good prices.
I cannot recommend this pub highly enough and can't wait to come back.

Cosy pub. Friendly staff. Good range of well kept ales. The Malet made for such a nice break during a walk that we came back for an evening meal. The food, Stalkers' Pie in this case, was very enjoyable

Lovely pub in a fine setting with friendly staff. Good ale and food, ask for extra smoked venison sausage with the charcuterie
