Aware this has been recently opened having been closed for many months - I sadly feel if they don?t improve this pub it will close again it has the potential to be a lovely homely pub but at present it?s very tired & need of some TLC as it?s looking very tired & old and says something when it only offers two very basic gins

Stopped in here for lunch on a Friday. The pub was freezing and our Ciabbata sandwiches took quite a while to arrive but they were delicious. Bar staff friendly and welcoming.

Lovely country pub. Rustic and homely. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Couldn't do enough for us. Great place.

Called on the off chance that we could have a Sunday roast. Beef, chicken or vegetarian sausages with all the trimming on offer. I had the Roast beef. One word "Excellent".

Had a good time at the Royal Oak in Pewsey. Great beers, but sadly I was driving. It was Saturday night so the menu was a choice of several pizzas or fish & chips. It does roasts on a Sunday. Our fish and chips were excellent. People who expect perfection would not like this place. I adored it. A real local. An historic local. Exceptionally friendly staff and lovely warm-hearted locals. The place has a good sized car park and nine pins skittles alley.

Thursday lunch had fish finger sandwich costing £11.00, this should be good!! Unfortunately not, 4 frozen fish fingers inbetween cheap thin sliced bread with a pot of massed produced colelsaw and some chips. Edible and would happily pay £5.50, certainly not worth £11.00.

Pleasure to have had a lunch at the pewsey, food was excellent and the waitress (Harriet) was pleasant and very accommodating.
