Lovely pub, friendly, they are working really hard to keep it open and part of the community. Music events, markets and many others. Monthly music bingo well worth a go. Staff are friendly and helpful

It was a welcome break after walking in the hot afternoon sun, though I was reminded of the scene from Falling Down with Michael Douglas as we arrived bang on half 2 to be told they stopped serving food at half 2, so we had a drink and popped over the road to the sandwich shop (very nice sarnies)

Makes no difference is a customer, you know one of those rare breeds that pays the manager, owner and staffs wages, spends £5 or £50, a cheery hello or a thank you or a good bye etc goes a long way. I suggest if you intend on visiting then also you'd be better off going a long way and finding a pub that does appreciate... read full comment
