It was very busy, infact it was buzzing, and the food and service were excellent.
We sat outside by the canal and our drinks arrived within a couple of minutes after ordering, and our food about 15 minutes later.
The staff were engaging, attentive and very thorough - bringing condiments and taking away our finished, and very empty plates, after delivering more food to others.
We stayed for a second drink, after our food, because it was so pleasant. The buzz of the rush had stopped as a lot of people had left....it was more of a calm hum ?

Food was amazing, came very fast. Had the chalk stream smoked trout and egg on toast, and it was delicious. Prices are fair. My group were all happy with their food.
However we were swarmed with hundreds of wasps while trying to enjoy our food, several overflowing wasp traps set out but seemingly hardly putting a dent in the problem - was a bit of a buzz kill ??

This place is lovely and super-popular. The only thing that lets it down is the outdoor tent, which is pretty grim by comparison to the lovely main cage barn.

Wonderful place on the canal with delicious food and a relaxed atmosphere.
UFO museum on site and, Indian crafts and furnishings and a great farm shop.

Had a great mid morning breakfast here. The scrambled eggs on sourdough with a side of hash brown and bacon were cooked perfectly. My partner said his breakfast burrito was tasty and filling. Their homemade juices are refreshing. Took some Biscoff cake home with us and that did not disappoint!
Lovely outdoor seating and atmosphere overlooking the canal.

This place is amazing!! Even when ridiculously busy the staff are the happiest and most polite people I've had the joy to be served by. No wait even at a super busy time of day. 1 million percent recommend ?

I am a bit of a coffee snob, and my flat white here did not disappoint. my scone was super fresh and tasty, and both were brought out very fast, but i was here early. 9am on a Sunday. At 9.30am it was mobbed, but it was a lovely sunny day so lots of cyclists, and it is a great spot next to the canal.

A gorgeous farm shop/cafe. Definitely worth the visit. Very dog friendly with water bowls available.
Extra parking just down the road as it gets busy.
£12 for a breakfast burrito and an ice coffee ?

They don't do chips. Or alterations to the menu unless you have a dietary requirement (which i kikda get as they are always busy) Their cakes are delicious. But I still can't see why a cafe doesn't do chips.
