Had a great stop off here before my final night of walking the Ridgeway. Very warm and friendly staff - arriving on a Friday evening was great as the local patrons were welcoming too and wood-fired pizza available that tasted amazing, thank you!

Fantastic little pub. Mike and Meg are fabulous hosts, with unending energy. Room was very comfortable, as was the bed. Highly recommend.

Excellent - nothing too much trouble. We are on a walking trip and as well as spacious room, excellent food and friendly welcome we were sen off with perfect pack lunches, all wrapped in paper - no plastic! Thank you!

Stayed here recently for a local course in MOD Lyneham. It was well-situated and easy to find. The rooms were good, the beer was good, and the food was excellent! The owners were very friendly and we felt extremely well-catered for.

Mike and the team were great whilst we spent a weekend here for a course and dined both nights. The food was great and we were well furnished with drinks the entire night. The rooms were comfortable and a packed breakfast for our early starts was no problem. A great place to stay.

Thank heavens for this very well situated inn, the perfect place to stay at the end of day 2 walking the Ridgeway - lovely to walk through this pretty village to the pub. Our hosts were very welcoming and the rooms super clean and comfy. Recommend it!Rooms: Spotlessly clean rooms and very comfy beds. I loved the shell-shaped bathroom basin.Walkability: A great stopping place for walkers, just off the Ridgeway.Food & drinks: Really delicious food! The dinner menu was excellent (including a scrumptious vegan gluten-free cheesecake that I didn?t really need) and the vegan breakfast offering was both innovative and yummy! The packed lunch is extensive and very good value and we loved the sandwich parcels wrapped up in paper and beautifully tied string.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. The bar area was really lovely, just what i needed after 105km bike ride. Nice range of beers on offer. Overall for food we felt it was a good value meal and friendly service.It was very handy having a hose for bike washing and secure storage. Road noise was a little annoying, but we did know the inn was next to a busy road when we booked.Pricewise, we felt it was a tad expensive compared to other places that we have stayed at recently for a similar price point... but this place has a very convenient location for cycling the Ridgeway and alternative choices are limited in the area.The owners do a good job and look like they work very hard offering a pleasant stay to their guests.

Room was clean but tired and in need of some redecoration and some decent lighting in the bathroom. Proprietors were friendly and helpful. The evening meal at the pub was overpriced and poor quality but the breakfast was great.All in all I felt it didn't offer value for
