Great brunch-time visit. The lovely owner made adaptations to create a gluten free meal for me. Much appreciated.

Very nice, small and cozy cafe. We had a stopover on our way to Cornwall. We had Scramble eggs, tuna sandwich and scones with coffee and tea, everything was fresh and tasty. Had a nice chat with the owner and elderly ladies.

Whilst waiting for our car to be serviced we enjoyed a lovely hot breakfast. My only criticism would be that it was cold in the restaurant.

We found this on Google travelling west on the A303. It's only a minor diversion and much nicer than Starbucks! Coffee to go was very nice and my son enjoyed his rock cake. Quite a small place but lovely atmosphere.

Run by a Chef with 30 plus years experience, all the food is home cooked and excellent, lovely cakes, spotlessly clean and lovely atmosphere. Worth making a detour for. We will return.

Very simple food, for expensive prices. e.g. Plowman Lunch £13.95 The place is a blast from the past, old fashioned, quaint, and in a back street. Car parking can be found next to the Castle Street Car park, a small walk down a lane to get to it. On the side of the road is also available, but no more than 1 hr parking. I felt like I had walked into something from the 1950s. The place is very clean, with a mixture of simple farmhouse chairs and tables. The owner was a nice chap and his wife was very welcoming and informative of the area. Ideal area for people who are disabled, because the cafe is all flat inside. Ideal for people who are Autistic, with no background music playing, and all-natural light. Plenty to look at, e.g. hand-knitted Tea Cosies. Scones with Jam and cream are delish!

We have been visiting this facility once or twice a year for many years. The service and quality of coffee and snacks has been most satisfactory for many years

I always use this place when I visit family in the town. The place is always clean and the food is great tasting and always of a very high standard. The owner/staff are very friendly and welcoming and, if you live in the town, a great place to meet up with friends for a ctach up, brew and something tasty to eat. Highly recommend this little gem of a placeKid-friendliness: All size/age people are made welcome and catered for as are dogs too.

This is are monthly get together cafe, we come up from home and the family come down from just outside London and we meet here, we eat, drink and talk, The wife loves it, she does suffer from dementia and this is a nice way for her to keep in contact with the grandchildren, The manager is very nice and allows us to stay for as long as we need, he knows the situation, and is more than happy to accommodate us once a month.

Great little tea room! We often stop at this tea room on the way to the west country, soo much nicer than any other service station along the route. Tasty food and Paul, who runs the place is really friendly too.

Lovely village tea shop. Service was great, food was great and prices were great. Public car parks close by and marked on street parking outside. If you're into tea shops, try this one.Parking: I used street parking but noted two carparks close by.Wheelchair accessibility: Just a normal door with small step up.

A bit odd, owner very stressed and dismissive of some customers, pleasant to me and regulars? Food was very good, fresh and tasty.

We have given this a poor rating because of poor customer service. We ordered sandwiches on brown bread. One turned up on white & when asked, we were told they had run out. Within 20 minutes we heard the same waiter offering brown bread to the next customer. Also, when we tried to talk to the staff on something else, they were offhand. Maybe they were fed up, it being later on a Sunday?Certainly not a cozy enjoyable experience.
