Had an absolutely incredible roast dinner here today. I had the lamb and my partner had the beef and both meals were sublime. The lamb was tender and blushing, as was the beef - both cooked to absolute perfection. The jus was full of flavour and complimented the meat perfectly. There was a really good selection of vegetables as well, which were extremely tasty. Will definitely be returning! Also might be useful for others to know that there is an on-site carpark out the back - I parked on the high street as I hadn't realised there was parking available.

Food has been good here in the past. Last night it was dismal. A mezze sharing platter featured flat breads that were almost impossible to cut or bite. Falafels were over-fried, very very dark and unseasoned. The mullet and oranges was mixed: the oranges were nice, the mullet was well past its sellby date AND overcooked. The beef carpaccio was still frozen and tasteless. Deeply disappointing. I imagine a reply from Dan's at the Crown will note that we were the final table of the evening, and that is true, but we had booked days in advance for that time. All four of us had dined here before and we were all looking forward to it and all four of us found it difficult to believe food of this quality was served.

The food wasn?t amazing. We had the pork and the pea puree was like the lid had fallen off the pepper, it was a lot. The fondant potatoes were just a small firm block. Rest was nice just nothing to write home about food wise.

Best roast we've had in a long time. Still talking about in some weeks later. Staff friendly, interior is a little quirky, food exceptional.

The food is excellent, and well worth the prices. Service is friendly and efficient. Highly recommended. However, the menu (for lunch at least) seems to change very rarely, so some new choices would be welcome.

Delicious dishes in fusion style. Service great. Each of us was served with an individual bottle of hot sauce when requested. Good service.

We went last night to celebrate our anniversary and had a thoroughly wonderful evening. The service was spot on, friendly and efficient staff. The food was delicious and fairly priced. Would definitely recommend to others. ?
