I don?t usually write reviews, but this experience deserves a warning to others.
Let me start with the only positive thing I can say: the sparkling water and the lemonade had a decent amount of bubbles. That?s it. That?s where the compliments end.
The food was truly awful, a complete insult to Italian cuisine. The calzone had no flavour whatsoever, just an overpowering taste of smoked paprika powder and chili. The filling might as well have been air.
The lasagne? Sweet. Not ?a hint of sweetness?, actually sweet. Ragù is supposed to be a savoury meat sauce, not some kind of sugary tomato mush. No depth, no richness, just confusion on a plate. No Italian would accept this.
The Bolognese pasta was bland beyond belief. Absolutely no flavour, just a strange mix of herbs that somehow managed to taste like nothing at all. Not bad in the traditional sense, just completely lifeless. Like food that gave up halfway through being food.
And then you look at the prices. For this? Exorbitant. I left feeling ripped off and genuinely annoyed.
Never again.

One of the best food I have in UK. Brilliant interior, amazing&delicious food and perfect service what can I ask more.
They have huge variety in their main menu and kids menu as well.

Came in to celebrate my mums birthday and the staff were fantastic and helped so much in making it a wonderful lunch.
Especially a lovely fella called Rowan who handled bringing the cake over so professionally and happily!
We had a wonderful time and it was all the better thanks to the staff.

really good quality tasting food, and good options for vegetarians aswell! Really really lovely service, the waiter rowan took such good care of us! Definitely worth giving a go if your in Marlborough. we shall be coming again for sure

The Pickle Crew had the best well deserved feast at Ask Italian Restaurant Marlborough during our Bristol Rally Gravel Bike Adventure! The atmosphere was magic ? was made to feel extremely welcome despite our rugged & tired appearance, the lovely staff took real good care of all our needs & wants and a huge thank you to the lovely Alex ???

We had a wonderful time at Ask Italian. The restaurant is warm and welcoming, with a lovely atmosphere, but what truly made the evening special was the outstanding service from Alex. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful ? always with a smile ? and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.
The food was absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and generous portions, and every dish was full of authentic Italian flavor. A big thank you to Alex for her impeccable work and for making our visit so enjoyable. We?ll definitely be coming back!
