This is a truly beautiful building with really exceptional interior design throughout. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the food was fabulous. I couldn?t fault it.

A charming hotel with great fire places and very pleasant communal areas. Staff are lovely and very helpful. Big thanks to Ben, Elina and Katy, along with the rest of the team, for making our stay so pleasant. The only qualms I had were the lack of noise insulation in rooms (big gap under door and flimsy windows) but I guess it's hard to fix that in historical buildings. Also, was surprised by lack of room service past 2030. Generally food was not served past that time. So something to keep in mind (ie don't expect them to be your fallback option). Food in the restaurant was tasty though. Worth a dinner booking.Rooms: The standard (cosy) rooms are quite small and the bathrooms in them are really a punch in the eye)) but the nicer character rooms are quite pleasant and more spacious.Walkability: Good for exploring malmesbury, right next to the historic abbey. Also close to other longer walking routesFood & drinks: Hotel restaurant is good, and not as horribly overpriced as can sometimes be the case. Food is tasty and some interesting dishes. Service is great. Wine selection mediocre but not bad, good enough I would say.

Absolutely outstanding, the hotel is amazing, beautiful building in a great setting, fabulous food, dinner was superb and breakfast almost as good, the room was fantastic, spacious, comfy bed, great bathroom with lovely toiletries, tasty cocktails in the bar however the best thing about The OId Bell Hotel is the staff, they are the best, super friendly, so helpful, just can't do enough, absolute credit to the hotel. Thanks to you all

Fantastic Afternoon Tea.You will need to book, as it is a busy place.My friend has been there several times and suggested going there.Lovely relaxing atmosphere and attentive and friendly service.The chefs pay particular attention to the lovely selection of finger sandwiches, the savoury and sweet parts are worth the detour. For just £30.00 per person. Good, short, selection of teas too.Fantastic. Well done.The restaurant menu looks very interesting too.Will gladly go back.

I booked the library for an afternoon tea/baby shower. The room was set up beautifully on my arrival, and I was able to arrive earlier than the other guests to add my own decorations. The staff were all incredibly helpful and accommodating, and the food was delicious. Everyone had a fantastic afternoon. Thank you to all the staff involved.

Great location wonderful cream teas, lovely coffee. Spacious lots of little public rooms several with open fires. Lots of history & well kept.Walkability: Town centre Malmesbury, some limited customer parking. Free long stay parking 5 to 10 mins walk

Staff were super friendly, they looked happy to serve, even if something wasn?t perfect they owned up quickly and made good. Super impressed with some staffs knowledge about the ornaments and area. They made it feel I had been there years.Regarding the location and rooms. Stunning, clean, quintessentially English (with some twists). Village is filled with so much beauty and friendly people!Food was really nice, my steak was good well. Afternoon tea was pleasant. And they give you wellies to go on the river walk

Just came in for a coffee and cake with family. We received exceptional service from Richard at the bar, very customer focused, and helpful. He even arranged for the chef to create a gluten free, dairy free cake for 1 person!Lovely ambience, great friendly service and well priced. The perfect combination!

The Old Bell Hotel is a lovely building and has several rooms for group functions/dining. The food is fantastic. The offer a wide range of drinks, including excellent mocktails.The staff are friendly and attentive, but importantly not too obvious, so you can concentrate on the good food and company.

What a stunning hotel. Lovely room and comfy bed. Newly done up from what it looks like. It's a shame we didn't get a chance to enjoy it more the next day! We will be back next time in the Cotswolds.
