Lovely pasties and cold drinks. Seating indoor and outdoor but lots of wasps around so made ours a takeaway and sat in the field behind!

Overly priced drinks but it was okay for it being a National trust place. However, the two iced drinks were only 80% filled with large and small being the same size. I?ve asked if I could have a little ice for my daughter?s water as it?s a super hot day, and she said ?no, we don?t have ice.? It was clearly a lie, as I literally have my iced drinks placed in front of me. I asked if I can pay for the extra ice and she just said ?no.?
Will get a better cafe down the road next time for better coffee and friendlier service.

Friendly for dogs, simple lunch food.
Exactly what we need on a day out with dog and family at Lacock.

Modest offerings in pleasant barn building. Nothing special could be so much more.

The ice cream serving hatch. What a miserable experience. The staff are hopelessly incompetent and so is the management. Half an hour to wait and one person serving at a time! Just useless. Bring back the van that used to be in the village.

Great jacket potato for lunch. Lovely outside seating in the sunshine ?. Coffee was also really good

We had to wait 10 mins after buying our food for a table to become free. The cafe was well provisioned for tables for 6, but had no tables for 2. Whilst it probably wouldn't have stopped the usual situation in NT cafes of a couple taking up a family table, at least this time they had an excuse.
My cheese scone was a bit bland. More effort had gone in to making heart-shaped than into the quality of the flavour. My fruit scone tasted of raising agent.
The staff were friendly, but otherwise a bit of a disappointment.

This is a converted stables in the heart of Lacock Village. My dogs and I were warmly welcomed by staff and the high ceilings provided a lovely atmosphere on the inside in contrast to the rather plain exterior.
The outside gave the impression that the cafe was shot but the door was actually kept closed to keep the warmth in and the extra check to see and push off the door was well worth the extra effort indeed.
I chose a hot chocolate as well as the leek and potato soup. The chocolate was generous in size and tasty. The soup was also delicious and served with an extremely chunky slice of bread - and we all know that leek ace potato can be a bit of a gamble, but well worth the toss of the coin in this case.

The food is good, but the serving is terrible! So, be patient and try not to explode when you see that it takes 10 minutes for a coffee to be made!
