Three friends and myself visited Lavender Lodge yesterday, 16/12/2025 I ordered a Turkey dinner. It was to say the least terrible.
The sprouts were burned. .The piece of turkey was sooo thin covering a huge ball of stuffing . So dry i was unable to cut it . The potatoes too were so hard again unable to cut through . Carrots and parsnips were fair , although these too were burned on the ends.
I told the girl that collected my plate How very disappointed with my first this year Christmas dinner. No response.
I will never ever return .

Situated in an outbuilding with wheel chair access but you do have to face the weather getting from the main building.there is wheel chair access but a little dumpy. Breakfast is served up to 11am the main venue after is limited and not cheap. We found the milk for the tea was on the turn which they sorted straight away. There is a good choice of cakes. There is another cafe inside the garden centre not sure if they are connected but it was our first visit and never knew there was one inside

Good environment, friendly welcome even though close to closing. Great coffee, attractive cakes but the one I had was dry, probably just from freezer?

A lovely place to eat. Great service very friendly and attentive staff. Food and drink was excellent. Price was a buy steep but no more than you would pay in other more up market tea shops on the high St. Would recommend to all.
