An amazing place to eat!! Would highly recommend. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing and nice. Food portions are big with a variety of different things to try. Other than a small misunderstanding about the menu from our server everything was incredible. We will 100% be returning. ?????

We met family here as a halfway point and wanted to avoid meeting in Salisbury centre. Great food, welcoming helpful staff and a really cosy, comfy place to be for a few hours. The garden is lovely too - deckchairs, tables to eat and a fire pit. We stayed all afternoon and will had a back another time for the 4-6 music slot.

Lovely food, was a shame my daughter was asleep for the entire experience! very accommodating for last minute; rather stressed travellers! Staff showed empathy for our situation and provided recommendations for overnight accommodation!

We had a great Sunday lunchtime get together for 10. All had a different meal from the menu. Everything came together hot and of lovely quality. Staff were very attentive. We ate inside which was cool and moved outside afterwards to beautiful gardens music and sunshine. Owners were very attentive and went out of their way to check everything was good. Dogs were well catered for too ! ?Very happy

After a long day exploring Avebury we were so happy to find the Goat! Soooooo yummy! The kofta was perfect. Singer was fantastic, we even got up and danced!

This is a great friendly pub. Dog were welcome which was great after a walk. The staff were friendly and helpful. Great beer garden to relax.

Can?t fault this pub, great drinks, food, atmosphere and the service was excellent. Even table service in the garden and very dog friendly! The spicy burrata pizza was delicious!

Lovely place for lunch in the garden. Great menu with lots of appealing options. Delicious food. Friendly staff, service just right. Garden is fabulous, large, spacious and really nicely furnished.

Lunch was excellent. We had chicken, mash, with a leek sauce. Trout new potatoes , with a rocket salad. Hit the spot, we can highly recommend the Goat at Downton.

Amazing pub in a gorgeous little village on the Wiltshire/Hampshire border. There was so much choice on the menu, something for everyone and everything was well priced. The service was great and the food was really fresh, hot and tasty. Everything was well presented and served quickly. It was so cozy inside the pub and it also has a stunning beer garden with a range of seating options. Amazing place and would definitely go back especially if in the new forest!!

Visited at lunchtime with elderly parents and sat in the garden. Staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Obviously well trained.
They have an extensive menu.
Difficult to choose as I liked most offerings. Food was excellent. Couldn?t fault the place.
