Lovely pub in a quiet area. Was perfect for a quiet drink. Service was great. We didn't eat there, however, there was a great selection on the menu. Will definitely be visiting again ☺️

Exceptionally busy on a warm Monday evening, you'd need to book for a meal. Luckily my group were only having drinks with snacks. Outdoor space was lovely, super woolly rugs available but not required in our heatwave!
The Queen’s Head is a 19th Century rural pub which sits prominently in the Chalke Valley and has all the quirks and charm one expects from a country boozer. The building has a charming interior with many original features and outside there is a leafy courtyard and a summer beer garden.
The menu is a mix of pub classics like burgers and pies, as well as dishes such as Cornish ray wing with monk’s beard or Herdwick lamb shoulder with borlotti beans + salsa verde. Local beers and ales are available on tap and our wine list is carefully curated in partnership with nearby wine supplier, Gardner and Beedle.
Make a trip of it and stop over in one of our four cosy and comfortable guest rooms.
