Food was good but small portions. I think the head chef was having a night off as the food had a prepared well in advance feel to it. Interesting wine list. Service was ok. Room was good

Went here for steak night and was not told about the ribeye not being part of the deal which is not a problem however wasn?t made aware of it. Also all three of us asked for medium rare steaks and they all came out pretty much raw inside nearly blue., when mentioned they didn?t do anything about it and also charged a mandatory 10% commission so payed 37£ for a steak that wasn?t even cooked correctly won?t go again.

A modern twist of a classic building
Great staff very attentive, well modelled rooms, enquire food ..even played a piano in the communal area.
Can nit wait to stay again

Was there for one night for a wedding and we struck gold! Extremely comfortable, convenient, user-friendly and the BEST Full English Sunday Breakfast Ive had in ages.. I used to run a boutique B&B and I am very picky about Full English... This was sublime. Generous, tasty, perfectly cooked and prompt (and no sign of unwanted American Hash Browns TG). Top Marks given to the team here.

Popped in for lunch on a Saturday. Good selection of beer. Nice bar menu. Had a couple of small plates. Perfect.
Walkability: Right on the market square everything in walking distance
Food and drinks: Nice selection of beers. Good bar menu. Food was well cooked, well presented and tasty.

AFTERNOON TEA
Despite advising when booking my friend was vegetarian some sandwiches contained meat. Staff did not tell us what cakes and sandwiches were. No serviettes and the scones were dry and burnt.
Won?t be going back again for this experience.

Afternoon tea was lovely. Brilliant waitress was asked if we could change one to vegan (didn't realise we had yo prebook it) & spoke to chef, they made up extra for us! Mocktail Bora Bora was refreshing.

At first we thought we'd found a really nice comfortable place for lunch but after waiting 40+ minutes for our order of sandwiches we had to ask if there was a problem. We were informed they hadn't been started yet (although the place did not appear full on this Wednesday afternoon) and then to receive the comment " we're not Weatherspoons you know" was completely uncalled for! Sad way to treat your customers :(
