Nice pub, but the veggie option, the "felafel burger" was OK, but not very interesting. (Also wasn't by any stretch actual felafel.)

A little gem of a pub set in the small village of Bishops Cannings, in the heart of the beautiful North Wessex Downs. A great Steak and Guinness pie, and a lovely pint of Proper Job. Looking at the menu in general, great food and great value. Well worth a visit if in the area whether passing by or hiking the Kennet and Avon Canal or the DownsFood & drinks: Had a great Steak and Guinness pie special along with a lovely pint of Proper Job. Looking at the menu great food and great value

Stopped for a Sunday lunch. Food was good with great service and not to busy which surprised me as it seems like a great pub with a nice outlook and good parking.

FOOD POISONING! I dined at The Crown over the weekend of 4th November. I suffered terrible food poisoning from eating here, on top of this I am pregnant so had the added worry of making sure the baby was okay whilst this was happening. I ordered the fish, chips and beans with a side of mayonnaise. I suspect it was the mayonnaise as my daughter had a similar meal and was fine. So angry that places don?t have hygiene standards in place especially when vulnerable people (pregnant, children etc) are eating there. Never again will I eat here.

Great evening - BBQ, pizza bd bands. Everyone there working hard to make it a success. Deserved more customers for the effort they put in. Lovely mixed crowd and excellent music.

Great little pub. Located away from the hustle and bustle and yet central enough if you drive east/west.Lovingly landscaped beer garden. Super friendly team, delicious food. There is a large meadow for camping behind it. But BritStoppers are in the parking lot. The sanitary containers are better and cleaner than the facilities at most campsites. The small village is enough for an evening walkIf we're in the area again, we'll come back

Very well presented pub with nice garden area. Only called in for a soft drink but food and drink choice looked excellent. Polite friendly staff.
