Firstly I can tell you that the sight test was carried out comprehensively and professionally and I have no issues with that side of the service at all.But... when I went downstairs I firstly told the sales assistant that following a cataract operation I needed to purchases four pairs of glasses.I asked if I could have a mirror finish on my sun glasses, I was told that specsavers don't offer that service. I then asked if I could have my sports frame inserts re glazed and received the same answer.The sales assistant then said why don't you look at some frames and I'll be back in a minute. After a few minutes I found a pair of designer frames that I likes and waited for her return. After five minutes there was no sign of her so I left the shop and walked across the road to Boots opticians.My experience there could not have been more different. The really nice assistant was extremely helpful, her product knowledge was exceptional, she didn't leave me and helped me choose three pairs of designer frames for my sunglasses, with a mirror finish, long sighted and reading glasses. I was also able to have my sports inserts re glazed. The whole experience was enjoyable and she actively made choosing the frames fun and appeared to be enjoying the experience as much as I was. I left Boots very happy and after placing an order worth almost £600.I was amazed when all four frames were ready for collection in four working days. I booked an appointment with the same assistant for my fitting and her care and attention to detail was exemplary.Both experiences were poles apart. Specsavers, some of your staff need customer care and some product knowledge training. I find it difficult to believe that you couldn't supply me with what I required.

After many years of excellent service, it seems that the honeymoon is over. Almost £300 for Varifocals is bearable, but to have them fall off my head and one of the lenses shatter is heartbreaking. To be then told that glasses are not designed to be dropped is doubly disturbing. When I expressed my disappointment, I was cheerily asked if I wanted a quote to deglaze them. I declined. I?ll continue with the eye tests, but, sadly, future purchases will be online only.It?s a shame, but there you go. And there I go.

I picked up my new specs today, extremely happy. I usually see Rob, who is very knowledgeable about my eye allergies. I was a bit upset about not seeing him at my last appointment. But I saw Jamie, and he was up there with Rob in his knowledge. Brilliant Store, and very friendly team. Thank you.

Just had my routine eye test with Robert this morning, and once again, he delivered excellent service. I've been going to him for years and will continue to go there. All the staff give good service there and always go out of their way to help. I've always had good experiences there, so would recommend them to anyone needing to go to an opticians.

Dropped my glasses causing the screw holding the lens to fall out and dissappear! Phoned Devizes branch who advised to visit and they will fix it.Done in less than 5 minutes! Outstanding service from an Outstanding branch.Thank you Devizes Specsavers once again.

First class customer service. Took my badly twisted frames to Devizes shop. They offered me a seat whilst busying away, and to my surprise managed to fix them. No charge, and smiles all round. Special mention for Vivienne (permission granted to use her name) ?
