Decent rooms for the rate, although the bath and windows (very hard to open) need refurbishing.At restaurant, starters were better than mains (really bland) and service was a little slow (i.e. waitress was inattentive at times) although there were only three people eating in total. First time staying on business, have usually stayed at Alexandria as I travel with my dogs, it can be hard to find truly 'pet friendly' hotels but Chiselden does meet the bill on that note, the dogs were met with a fuss on arrival and permitted to walk the grounds. Lovely modern yet still inkeeping room with shared balcony... read full comment

A beautiful great house in a pretty location. The staff were friendly and it felt that nothing was too much of a trouble.
