Great shop. Lots of choices and friendly staff

Sold an item with parts missing so unable to use, not given a receipt so refused refund. Manager very rude and obnoxious. Will NOT shop there again and will tell all I know not to shop there either. Totally disgraceful. Only gave 1 star as was not allowed to put zero stars which I would have done.

The guy with a very strong accent on the till is very rude. Makes you feel uncomfortable by staring at you without even a blink whilst you browsing. I bought an item then decided to return it to the next. Although I had a receipt and the item exactly the in same condition, he started giving excuses in order to not accept the return. He started pulling the part of the item, by saying "it's damaged" but l said "no, you're causing the damage now". Then he started to examine the item vigorously, with very aggressive behaviour. He even became showing more aggressive body language as he was filed to find an excuse. Then he claimed another damage (!). I knew he was lying again but l just wanted to leave as l felt very uncomfortable because of his manner. I always shop from charity shops, this is the first time that I have ever seen such a rude and intimidating individual. Never going to visit again.

The staff are always helpful and there is so much choice. I think the new manager [Christophe] is so dedicated [and all the team]. The shop has gone through a rejuvenation of late and we are so pleased to support such an excellent cause for Oak & Furrows Animal Sanctuary. Great team and I love buying and donating to my favourite charity shop in town. Thank you all.

It's a charity shop, we'll run and with depth both in physical space and if you're lucky, goods for sale.

One of the best charity shops in Chippenham, if not the best. Always has plenty of stock in, has great shop front displays, still has an old school charity shop feel about it (i.e. isn't overly smart / gentrified), and is dog friendly. They'll even give your four legged friend a little treat.

Good selection of donated items for sale here but unfortunately it?s very expensive for a charity shop, especially considering the well-used quality of the majority of clothes. It?s no wonder that this shop claims to be targeted by shoplifters. Staff aren?t particularly friendly either. You won?t get a hello or even a smile, but you can expect to be followed around in a very obvious and off-putting manner by a larger lady with grey hair as your browse. I?m sure this woman thought she was scaring off a potential thief by watching me uncomfortably closely, but unfortunately she actually lost her charity some sales.

We usually love this shop although the prices are stupidly high for a charity shop so unfortunately often can't afford to buy anything. Any who, Wednesday last week a member of staff (lady with grey bob) was so rude me and my partner it made her cry. This woman had in the past cross examined us because my wife had tried on 1 top that she had shown the staff and asked permission to try on. After trying it on she informed the staff there were a few empty hangers in the changing room and was treated by this member of staff like a shop lifter. That time a more friendle member of staff called Tracy apologiesed for this. So the other day this member of staff followed us around the shop and when we picked up something she came over and took it out of our hands in an over the top pretense that she needed to fold it . She then pointed out how " big and handy " my wife's bag was while looking in it we assume to see if we had stolen anything. My wife is a nurse and I'm a studying for my PhD . We mighg not be rich but we dont need to steal from a charity shop! The braking point came when out 23month old was holding a toy (we had brought out with us from home) and as we left she stopped us and asked if we intended to pay for it! We pointed out it was ours from home. She went on to say they had one just like it in the shop and she couldn't see it on the shelf since my child took it! I stuck to my guns and insisted it was from home. Another customer said she saw us come come in with the toy. This still wasn't good enough and your member of staff made it clear she didn't like us leaving with the toy buy couldn't stop us. We were so offended we will never shop there again.
