Paid in a reasonable amount of cash at the counter. Served by the manager. She asks why I don't use one of the machines, and I say I don't trust the machine with cash. Manager tells me the machine is probably more trustworthy than the counter! So I ask for a receipt, and she then tells me Lloyds don't give receipts. So how do I prove I paid in the money, if there is some dispute? Especially since the manager's comment on not being able to trust the counter pay in....Manager tells me I can go out to one of the machines and check the balance?!? Ridiculous. If you pay in anything, especially cash, you need a receipt, it's pretty basic stuff. Awful service. How can not providing receipts be in the customers best interest? They tell me it's to save paper for the environment. When I ask if the machines, which Lloyds are heavilly pushing, provide receipts for paying in cash, she says they do. I point out the contradiction, but she shrugs her shoulders and simply says its head office policy. I'll be swapping my accounts away from Lloyds.

I would share what has happened with me in the last few months. I have an account (debit) at Lloyds Bank, # 29 High Street, Chippenham, Wiltshire, England, SN15 3NA. Over the past few months I have sent them, I believe, four letters asking for new debit cards. My wife has even phoned them, and yes they said, we will send you the debit cards right away. Don't hold your breath waiting for that branch to reply to you. They have my small English pension there, and I cant get at it !!!

Deposited some money into the bank the other day. Lovely staff very professional if you don't have a account with Lloyds I recommend you get one at Chippenham

For the attention of the "big bosses" You have a cracking team in Chippenham. My partner and I visited here a couple of Saturday's ago. The staff we're beyond helpfulness. Nothing was too much trouble. As for the member of staff who sadly had to deal with an absolute obnoxious member of the public. She remained professional throughout his appalling behaviour as he constantly blamed "the bank" and who also took no responsibility for his own stupidity! The whole team are a real credit to you! Keep up the amazing work ladies..
