Got this Cooke & Lewis tap (a B&Q brand) for a full kitchen refit a few years ago. Within 18 months it was dripping and not easy to replace the valve. A few months later the sides of the tap shaft corroded with jets of water spurting out both sides (you can see this in the photos). I've never known a tap to do this, especially so soon after installation. I took it back to B&Q and they said they can't do anything without the original packaging/leaflet etc that came with it. This is despite the fact that it has 'cooke & lewis' and a product code engraved in it. Not a credit note or anything. Unbelievable really. I would avoid buying any of their own brand products, especially taps and other plumbing supplies as they can be more hassle to fix when they go wrong than if you just bought something decent in the first place.
