Room: we were upgraded on arrival, the bed was comfortable, we were provided a cot and blanket and rattle toy for our baby, the bathroom was large, with a really nice bath tub and they provided hair conditioner, no real shower to speak of, but wasn?t an issue for us as we used the showers in the spa. The room was a really good size for us with a sofa in the room , the only downside was it was a little cold, just a function of it being in an old building as it being March, but they provided heater in the room which worked for us.Staff: everyone we met were very friendly and helpfulRestaurant: breakfast was excellent, really high quality ingredients and excellent hot and cold choices I enjoyed their full English and they yoghurts. The food served at dinner was probably a bit expensive for what it was, but the restaurant made up for it in terms of service and helpfulness with high chairs etcFacilities: the spa was great, we were there on a weekday and it was fairly quite, no kids there is the morning, but there were children there in the afternoon, for £1 they provided my baby a swim nappy so we could use the pool. There is also a sauna and steam. I also got a massage in the spa which was great but I?d recommend booking in advance. We used the sensory room for babies and she just loved it, there was also a games room and other things for older kids.We dropped our baby at the den to allow us to go to the spa which was included in the room rate, the staff were really friendly and good with my baby.Location: easy to drive to from London and Bath, about an 8min walk from a local pub and about a 20min walk into town where there are cafes and shops

We had a lovely stay here, the staff were so lovely and so helpful. The food was amazing room were comfortable and quaint. The hotel is perfect for families with children too, with several interesting areas both inside and outside for them to explore. It is also perfect for couples as there are several areas to sit and enjoy a chat round an open fire. The pool and spa area with sauna and steam room is lovely with treatments available. The hotel itself is steeped in history and all rooms are different and unique and really sweet. Brilliant position as it is near many interesting places to visit even a white horse visible from the pool area. Overall we had a lovely stay here and actually wouldn't hesitate to visit again as a couple or with my children and grandchildren.

We stayed at Woolley Grange for a week before Christmas with our 3 young Children. We had the best week! Whilst the hotel is remarkably well set-up for families, what really sets it apart is the staff. Before we even arrived, they made contact to check some specific dietary requirements for our son. Throughout our stay they were friendly, patient and attentive. It meant so much to be made feel so welcome! I must also commend the kitchen staff on their food. As many guests have young children and therefore eat onsite, it makes a big difference to have a good restaurant and bar service. Much of their produce is local or sourced from their own garden. Thanks to Dylan, Robyn, Ben, Kay, Sara amongst many others on your team who made our stay so enjoyable. LGH please make sure you continue to take care of the great team you?ve built at this hotel!

What a lovely and friendly place. The staff were some of the nicest people I've ever met. The food was incredible, and the bed was one of the nicest beds I've slept in. The rooms are beautiful and spotless. Oh and they have a great selection of whisky to choose from. It's a family and pet friendly hotel so people need to expect small children/babies will be there. If you're looking for adults only, this isn't one of them.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home, all of the staff were so friendly and always happy to help. They treated us and our dog like they?d know us forever, making sure we all were welcomed warmly. All of the staff were superb, Lisa and Daniel were exceptionally kind professional throughout. The hotel has incredible facilities for dogs & children alike, everywhere you turn little guests have been considered and catered for. I?m excited to come back again and visit with friends and their kids. The spa facilities were fantastic and the treatments were delightful, and the view from the outdoor pool has was magic! The rooms have a rustic charm and offer everything you need and more (the pillows are amazing!!!)By far the best dog & child friendly hotel I have ever stayed in, so if you are travelling with either it?s a must! And if your not, book midweek outside of school holidays and you?ll have the place to yourself.

Just returned from 3 nights dinner, bed and breakfast with our 7 month old and it was the perfect "baby's first stay". We booked the hotel to break up a journey from Cornwall to Manchester and because it seemed to offer plenty for parents with newborns - it didn't disappont. All staff and residents were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The hotel couldn't do more for our little family; offering puree dishes and cucumber sticks for our teething weaning baby any time of day, having his dinner place set up with name card, bib and cutlery, providing a drop-off bottle wash and sterilising service. The weather wasn't great but there was plenty for us to do around the hotel with the spa and heated indoor swimming pool, baby sensory room, creche, family cinema and plenty of books and toys in the lounge areas. When we got a break in the rain we explored the gardens but unfortunately it was too wet and windy to use the outdoor pool (but it looked lovely and was heated too). We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite with a cot, baby bath and nappy bin in the room and a beautiful baby gift waiting for us when we arrived. We really appreciated having the extra room and lovely views of the grounds. We were also given a monitor in case we wanted to slip out to the lounge bar whilst our little one slept in the room but didn't take advantage of that, although plenty of parents did. The breakfast options were fantastic and evening meals, although not as much variety as we perhaps would've liked, were very tasty. Nice touch having fresh flowers from the gardens on all the tables and we enjoyed eating in the light, airy orangery. I also enjoyed a complimentary back, neck and shoulder massage which certainly helped to relax the muscles after carrying our little one around. Communication with the hotel before and during was spot on - they emailed and called about a nearby road closure to ensure we could plan our journey accordingly and it was easy to register and book onto baby activities in advance, including the creche (90 mins free per night stay). We were all incredibly comfortable and sad to leave on what was the sunniest day of our stay. We'll definitely look to return. Thanks again to the staff for everything you did for us during our stay.

A little gem. The hotel would be particularly good for families with your children and have lots of clever little areas catering for them but equally going as a mature couple we enjoyed sitting out on the stunning terrace and using the spa Fabulous service, lovely grounds and pretty building Food was good and generally recommend

4 of us visited for dinner to celebrate my husbands birthday . The service was wonderful , Ben and Dylan were so attentive and helpful in explaining what things were . The food was truly delicious . Between us we had a mix of scallops , Hake , Duck and Chicken - all cooked perfectly. Desert was fabulous - photo shows Blackberry cheesecake - bursting with flavour . Excellent value for money - you truly get what you pay for... and that is a rare thing these days ! Keep it up Woolley - fabulous

It?s not easy to find a hotel that can provide a wonderful experience for everyone from a 5 month old to a 79 year old but WG excelled at this! We were celebrating a family birthday and Robyn was outstanding at organising everything in advance supported wonderfully by Dylan , Fred, Lisa and many others when we got there. There is a newish head chef, John and the food was exceptional all weekend. The ethos of relaxation, everything is possible and putting children at the centre of the experience with compromising the adult experience continues to be wonderfully led by Clare and it was lovely to see Joan caring for a new generation in the Woolley Bests Den. Thanks to everyone for continuing to make this a really special place to stay.

We stayed for 3 nights with a large group of family and friends (including young children) for a birthday celebration. The location is excellent within walking distance of the town. The grounds are extensive with a beautiful walled garden. The bedrooms are varied and comfortable. There are several different lounges to cater for all residents. The food was very good with a wide range of GF and non dairy options and the needs of a large party were fully met without detriment to other guests. Most importantly all the staff were excellent. Friendly, very helpful and professional. Genuinely a family friendly hotel but catering for all ages whether with children or not. I will be recommending the hotel to friends/family as a place to relax and enjoy.

Nothing was too much trouble, completely faultless staff, spot-on food, exceptional rooms and dreamy spa facilities. THANK YOU! GO, GO, GO with your family and grandparents to relax and enjoy the totally beautiful place. Very kind regards Lucy Offer
