Great place, can have food on a barge boat which is docked up next to the pub.
Food is amazing and huge portions.
Staff are lovely and friendly and booking system works really well.

Lovely setting on the canal with lots of outdoor tables and all covered or you can eat on a moored boat or inside. Menu pffers a variety of breakfast and lunch type options such as ciabattas and curries, baked potatoes etc at reasonable prices.

This is an unpretentious bar/cafe idealy situated right on the Kennet and Avon canal, just below the lock. Dog friendly too. We walked in unbooked at 12.30pm on a weekday and there were plenty of tables adjacent to the water, but these filled up later. I thought the menu was excellent, something for everyone whether you wanted just a bite to eat or a meal. We ordered the ribs, which were excellent, plenty of barbecue sauce, great chips and a side of slaw, which was crunchy and creamy.
This is not the first time we have eaten here and it will not be the last. Very pleasant and efficient staff, but I can imagine delays with food when it is really busy due to the number of tables available. This is actually from experience as on our last visit we waited 45 minutes for our food. But then, sat next to the canal watching the boats go by, who cares!

Cheap and cheerful, great for a builders breakfast. Lots of outdoor seating including in the moored up barge, service wasn't great and very slow, a bit confused from what I could gather, apparently they had a power cut and pay machines/order tablets weren't working, however food was good and definitely value for money. Situated on the canal, so no parking except local area. Staff were very friendly and tried their best ?

Good food, fast friendly service what's not to like! I would recommend a visit particularly in summer when you can sit out on the decking with lovely views of the canal and boats. Beautifully decorated outside too.?

Excellent, have been a few times this summer, highly recommend, excellent food ( just 1 thing I'd change & that's the coleslaw, smaller portion & do homemade is much nicer ), friendly staff .....which goes a long way. ?

A really lovely canal-side setting and great food. I had breakfast here which was very nice indeed. Parking is available nearby but if on a motorbike you can pull down the lane next to the cafe.
