Comprehensive museum with wide range of exhibits in relatively small space. Good replica of old shops and items well labelled. Very welcoming volunteer on duty. Upstairs (plus lift) so good views of river and bridge.

Paid a visit to the museum which is set on the bank of the river Avon that runs through the town,it is situated above the library in Bridge Street overlooking the short stay car park.even though it is only a small place it has a lot on display, dating back to Roman times with a lot of artefacts on show,it also has a complete old fashioned chemist with all the original bottles and potions, even the original creaky floorboards are in place,it is amazing to see something like this so well preserved. It is free to enter and well worth a look around when visiting the town.

Lots of information about the Roman villa excavations in the area and local history plus a complete 19th century pharmacy, original creaking floors and chemical-filled jars.

A surprise museum in a small town. Hard to know that it's there but well worth a visit. The upper floor of the library is dedicated to the museum which house many different artefacts from the small towns history. A recreation of a chemist is fascinating to look at. If you have half an hour to spare then I would definitely recommend a visit. It's free as well!
