Its hard to tell you what we think of the food... since we couldnt even order for 1 hour. You had 4 persons serving the drinks, yet no food was able to be ordered. Locals sat down and could eat instantly yet we as tourist did not. I would recomend going to robbie's plaice. Far better service and you can instantly order and get good food.

Fantastic meal in a lovey traditional pub.

I will travel long distances for Colins Jerk Chicken - there is nothing like it - also its such a brilliant 'community focussed' pub - but the jerk is off the scale (sorry Colin)

I recently discovered that ANYTHING on their menu can be ordered for takeaway if the have it in stock? having had a rough week, my wife and I were craving steak, one call later I was given a time to collect 2 very large portions and a separate salad between us (hot with the hot, cold salad by itself). The steaks were rare as requested, hot and delicious as was everything else? highly recommended for take out!

Fabulous Sunday roast. Celebrating a birthday with 8 of us in lovely bright side room but close to the bar to get atmosphere. Great value. Friendly and polite staff. Would recommend and will return. Thank you for the special memories.

The Food is really good and fantastic price, this is our local and it?s a good idea to pre book especially if it?s for a special occasion meal.
Also had my hubby?s 50th Meal in here recently and had 20 people invited. They set up the tables as I had asked and put out the table clothes, napkins and table confetti balloons etc as I wanted it looked lovely and everyone was happy with their food?. Highly recommend.

The service was appalling, we are not locals and clearly not treated equally. We arrived ordered some drinks and asked for a menu, at the time i asked whether we should order at the bar or some one would come over. I was assured someone would come to the table, we waited and waited (only 2 of us) I went to the bar again assured someone would come to take our order. Same thing went to the bar asked again a third time except this time they refused to take my order for a further 20 minutes when I asked why they said they were not allowed to! About 1 hour 15 mins into arrival we were finally ?allowed? to make our order! Some locals arriving 20-30 mins after us were allowed to order much sooner and served their meal well ahead of us! If I had known this from the outset I would have walked away on arrival. Please be honest with customers do not lead them on and treat visitors to your area as equals to your locals. I will say when the food arrived it was very nice and large portions but the experience had already been ruined.

Called into this welcoming pub on Sunday 25th February 2024 - as part of a local walk (and the pub down the road had a power cut) plenty of seating in the room - it was drinks only - great and friendly
