This is a great pub, full of charm and character, and just as impressive from the inside as it is from the outside. The landlord is a great bloke who will tell you about the history of the place if you ask him, and who has plenty of suggestions for local attractions to visit. The food is traditional pub fare and very tasty.

4 of us went and had a fantastic meal today 12/6/25. Excellent and very friendly service, it was lovely to sit and chat with friends and not hear background music. We would highly recommend The Hatchet and we are looking forward to returning.

Very nice pub in the middle of nowhere. It's very lovely inside. Very friendly staff. The food was amazing, and prices were decent.

We had evening meal with some colleagues here and had a great time. A Good selection of drinks & meal choices including vegan and vegetarian food. And must say lovely surrounding! :)

Great pub but terrible staff and owner. Turned up at 1157 to be rudely told the pub doesn't open until 1200.
A smile costs nothing and saying thanks is also free, I suggest the owner and staff try it.
