Went in for a large breakfast and coffee. Had to wait ages before coffee was served and even longer for breakfasts to arrive on the table. When finally on the table, the eggs were buried under all the other food. Black pudding fell apart when trying to pick up with a fork, tasted soggy and deep fried. The rest of the food was luke warm not piping hot. Mushrooms had disintegrated, bacon was undercooked. Fried bread was chewy.

I arrived in Amesbury last night, I really needed to eat something but everything was closed... At 10pm ?So I really need to have a huge breakfast. I came across the Friar Tuck cafe and ordered the "biggest ever" - 2 bacon, 2 sausages, 2 eggs, 4 hash browns, mushroom, beans, tomatoes, black pudding, toast and fried bread. This gigantic meal was devoured in 15 minutes. Partly because of my hunger but also because the breakfast was unbelievably nice. The service was quick and the staff were really friendly. If I'm ever in Amesbury Town I'll certainly go back and tackle the 'biggest ever ' again ?

Oh Dear, we used to like popping in for a quick bite. Very disappointed last 2 times. They seem to close about 2ish, not much available on menu. No gluten free.Won't be going again.
