Great service but the cafe is disappointingly generic & lacking in atmosphere inside. Boring GF options. What a missed opportunity in such an amazing village.

I only had a flat white coffee here which was very nice.

After a chilly walk we popped in the cafe for a hot drink. Had to wait ages to get served, the hot chocolate and coffee was Luke warm and the staff seemed stressed and looked miserable We won?t rush back

We visited this National Trust self-service cafe on a visit to Avebury Manor (after looking at the stones and adjacent St James's church). Even though it was a wet day (or maybe because of it) it was very busy. It's a standard NT cafe, with the emphasis on cakes, scones, etc. (They apparently also do proper meals but these were not available when we visited as it was mid-afternoon). We had a scone (with clotted cram and jam) and a slice of orange and poppy seed cake, with a pot of tea each. I tried the cake as it was an unusual flavour, and it was delicious. My partner's scone was nice but the (pre-packed) clotted cream was crumbly rather than smooth. (In hindsight we should have asked for another portion). We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The interior is a little rustic (wooden furniture, stone floors): fine if you are walking and having an outdoorsy sort of day. There is also seating upstairs which has views over part of Avebury Stone Circle.

Usual good standard of food and drinks at this National Trust cafe.

Outstanding service, friendly staff, great food with plenty of vegan options. Recommend the summer berry flapjack & chocolate cookies! Props to the member of staff on the till (Sept 12th, 1pm) - he made our day after a not-so-great experience at the nearby pub - sorry we didn't get your name! You are excellent at your job and I wish you every success.Vegetarian options: Great vegan options

As National Trust members we have eaten & had takeaways from various NT Cafe?s. Visited here whilst exploring Avebury?s magnificent stones. It is in a nice setting with plenty of seating outside where we ate some our food together with a sausage roll from the cafe & hot drinks. The sausage roll can only be described as ok. Expensive for what you get, but it did strangely come with a small salad ? Great setting though for a cafe.

Great little pit stop on a walk around Avebury. They have milk alternatives for vegans and vegan cake available.

As a national trust cafe, it is what it is. They were all out of pastries at 2pm, the cake and scones were dry and the prices were high - but everything was edible. The tables outside were all very dirty, I?m not sure how often they?re cleaned.

Sandwiches weren't great and the cakes we got were dry. Not good value everything seems overpriced but nothing else so had to make do.

Clean and tidy cafe. Small menu but nice amount of choice. Food came quickly and was fresh, hot and tasty.
