Since being done up, the pub looks great. very welcoming and lovely decor. Food however, for the price of the roast? dry stale roast potatoes, dry meat, undercooked parsnips and barely warm gravey. No one came back to check if all was ok, or if we would like any sauces etc. Definitely wouldn?t eat there again for a roast. Be interested to see if the week day menu is better though. Would 100% for drinks and snacks regardless.

Called in by chance and enjoyed the most amazing dining experience for many years. Absolutely faultless from the friendly welcome to the last bite of lunch. My wife had the fish and chips. Portion size was spot on and the chips were perfect with fish in crispy batter and delicious tartare sauce. I enjoyed the Moroccan chicken, stunning! Having said all that what made our experience so special was the service. Good service is such a rare commodity and while some restaurants have the odd star The Green Dragon obviously takes training their staff very seriously. The attention to detail was consistently outstanding and what was obvious was how happy they were in their work and that just leads to a brilliant atmosphere. That?s it I?ve run out of superlatives! Well done the new management for setting the bar so high and we can?t wait to see you again. Go and remind yourself what good service and delicious food are like together!! Thank you.

The Green Dragon has recently re-opened under new management and they?ve done an incredible job in refurbishing it. Gorgeous terrace for sitting in the sunshine. The food is delicious. I had the Gnocchi with wild mushrooms and butternut squash purée and it was one of the best things I?ve ever eaten. I really recommend the lemon tart too. The staff were attentive but not intrusive and nothing was too much trouble. I definitely recommend it.

We were lucky enough to be staying in the area when this pub reopened after complete refurbishment. They've created something really beautiful here and we visited a number of the days we were in the area. Great food too ?

This used to be a wonderful cosy traditional pub with good food and beer. The renovation has made it more like a trendy bar, like so many others. When asking for the draft ales, I was read a list of lagers. It is now much more expensive, too.

Delicious food at a friendly country pub. It's tucked away up a country lane but well worth seeking out.

You only really have to look at all the recent reviews to see how good this place is. I was served the most indulgent prawn and crayfish pasta- the pasta was homemade as was the accompanying bread, and everything was cooked freshly. It's a wonder the owner turns over a profit such was the quantity and quality of the seafood. There was a delightfully piquante sauce with fresh tomatoes and a rocket salad and there were nice touches- a staff member bringing a jug of iced water with lemon when I was unsure if I wanted another pint; offering to box up what I couldn't finish (it was a generous portion and I am a big chap who was at the end of a 25 mile cycle on a breakfast of pears and water). This was a Tuesday early lunchtime when you might expect less variety but the menu was great. The sloping garden was magical in the sunshine, overlooking south Wiltshire and full of birds and butterflies. I can't wait to go back and try their pies (homemade pastry!) and fish of the day. Don't miss it!

We had a wonderful meal at The Green Dragon tonight. Extremely generous portions and excellent value for money. Victoria is so helpful and funny too. Nothing is too much trouble. You certainly won?t leave hungry. ?I had the huge king prawn and cray fish linguine followed by a delicious Eton Mess.

Found this little gem by chance on the way to North Somerset. Lovely 14th century pub which served the most amazing home cooked food with great prices especially for the portions which were served. Made to feel really welcome 5* from us!

Charming C16 building. Food all homecooked and delicious, very dog friendly in the bar area and lots of doggy treats which was a nice touch. Good beer and welcoming and attentive service.
