Rooms: Room OK with plenty of towels/decent tv/Spare pillows. We were at the back so view of trees and birdsong and no traffic noise despite being next to Motorway! Needed electric sockets by bed though. Used shower head and bath leaked at other end so needs attention! Other drawback was customer noise upstairs with bangs and footsteps being particularly loud!! Bed very comfortable! Needed wider door and corridor to negotiate with mobility scooter.Noteworthy details: Next to service station and convenient for petrol/ M & S shop/Burger King/ Starbucks.

Budget hotel, get what you pay for. Considerably quiet even next to the motorway.

Perfect for an overnight stay and handy for Wakefield with an exit onto local roads for Travelodge customers.

Great for an overnight stop. Travelodges are basically all the same, some newer than others but you know you will get a nice room with good facilities. (Tea and coffee free in the room)Plenty of free overnight parking.

For a Travelodge based on a busy motorway service station, this was surprisingly peaceful! Mind you, our room was at the rear of the building overlooking a large bank of mature trees. The room was adequately clean and in good condition, and big enough to be comfortable for four of us. The king-sized double bed was very comfortable, and my boys said their single beds were also fine. All linen was clean, as were the towels. If you want something to eat, there's a W H Smiths, Greggs, Burger King and Costas in the service station, although some of them shut pretty early (Burger King turned several customers away at 8pm!).The staff were friendly and helpful, and a cleaner went out of her way to ask if we needed help, which I really appreciated. The quick checkout procedure was hassle-free - simply drop your room key I'm the slot on the reception desk and off you go.One thing to note, though - make sure you register your car with the receptionist! You get 24 hours free parking but only if you register, otherwise you will get a fine.WiFi is free for a couple of devices, but any extra devices get only 30 mins free.As always, there was a kettle with tea & coffee etc, and a TV.On the whole, I had no complaints and would stay there again.

Clean, comfortable room that was typical of a Travelodge. We only stayed one night as it was a stopover for us, but this was our second experience of using a Travelodge (different location this time) and it fully met our expectations. There was a friendly lady on reception when we checked in who was quite helpful with suggestions about where to eat, there aren't many options at the actual services bit - a Burger King that shuts at 8pm, Costa's, a M&S food, a Greggs that was wasn't open and WHSmith. The room itself was clean, the beds comfortable, there were tea and coffee making facilities in the room, adequate number of towels and the bathroom had enough toilet roll, hand wash and body wash too, if needed. You get free WiFi for 30 mins or full access for an additional £3.There is a TV in the room that offers Freeview. They do offer a breakfast option here that you can add to your booking, but it's not a cooked breakfast , just a muffin, a flapjack etc. We didn't choose this option, but it's there if you need it.Make sure you validate your park at reception when you check inIt's a Travelodge at the end of the day - whilst I wouldn't stay here on a week long holiday, it's ok for a stopover or a cheap, short city break .

Travelodge is clean and tidy rooms. No complaints of service nor staff. As it should be. But first floor carpets need fixing in corridors as they have bumps and could be a trip hazard, so be careful

Having started our tour of Great Britain in Swindon, and having stayed in Travelodges the length of the mainland, this was our favourite. Comfortable, peaceful and welcoming. This was up to the standards of a five star hotel. Additionally there was ample electric recharging for the car and free parking.
