From start to finish our stay here was fabulous. We decided to have a road trip adventure on our way to a day in York and stumbled across this hidden gem.. Attentive friendly staff, room was immaculate and breakfast, namely a full English for me and my partner had the fruity pancake stack. Always a mess on outside tables when I come, glasses and teacups, asked for a guiness and not put in guiness glass. Ask young girl have you no guiness glasses and she said no. Had to return to bar to have it topped up and a young man did it and said to young girl is there no guiness glasses and I heard her say yes but they are at other end off bar...don't mind paying for the expensive drinks but boy do they need to sort things out.

I HAVE already left review for hotel.This is aimed at the pub ie meals- service etc.Atmosphere-decor nice ?The service could be warmer.Food average quality and price.Slightly disappointed with breakfast as cheap meat ingredients. Would rarther pay more for better quality sausage-bacon etc.Also they are very tight with butter.

What a lovely afternoon/evening. My husband and I went in to cheer ourselves up after a small bit of bad news. The food was absolutely gorgeous and came speedily. Thanls to the attention of Poppy and Paige we were made to feel very valued as it felt like they genuinely wanted to help with any little thing. Would just like to say it is so nice to see good old fasioned customer service ?She was so enthusiastic about the mothers day draw I bought 5 strips of tickets.
