I signed up with the Wakefield branch last February 2020. When recruiting, and during training they promise you that they have plenty of work for you. This was totally untrue! I'd give them 40 plus hours every week availability, only to be given 10 or less hours per week! On one occasion, they gave me 2 hours worth of work for oneday! Speaking to numerous carers they all had the same thing to say! I then found out that the ones that work in the office, and who's job role is to allocate shifts have sisters, sons, fathers and best friends working for the company as carers and are given 80 plus hours in one week! I worked with two of their sisters so my I'm talking facts! I'd written several emails explaining to them that I cannot survive on the little hours they're giving me but it fell on deaf ears. Only sign up with the Wakefield branch if you can afford to live on 2, 10 or 18 hrs a week! I've heard good things about other branches, but those who work at the Wakefield branch need training on how to treat everyone fairly and equally and not just favour their siblings etc! They should only have them as employees seeing as that's the case! I've wasted 10 months of my time with them and did not feel appreciated, or have never had an appraisal! Never been told who my Line Manager was either! Don't waste your time with the Wakefield branch! There are other companies out there!!
