“What an incredible place of worship - the welcome we experienced from Head Verger Brian was so warm and hospitable. The Head Verger displayed vast knowledge of the history and hidden gems in the Cathedral and his enthusiasm was infectious. We then went on to join the 3.30pm service which was a lovely way to end our visit before catching the train home. We will definitely visit Wakefield Cathdral again. Also the official guide is well written and illustrated and is a very interesting read - great value too.”
