We stayed here for 2 nights and while initial thoughts were good on this hotel they have changed significantly. Receptionist when we checked in was warm and friendly and we paid for continental breakfast for us both on both mornings in advance. My partner had some cereal and toast with some fried eggs, I had cereal and some toast. We attempted to have a meal in the restaurant around 6.45pm yesterday evening (Thursday)but despite waiting for someone to come out all we heard was what sounded like the bing from a microwave oven in the back so we decided to eat elsewhere. Fast forward to this morning at 8.45am (breakfast served from 7-9am) my partner attempted to have exactly what she had yesterday for breakfast but was told by a different Receptionist that the fried eggs are only included in full English breakfast, also we were told that the frier was turned off and wasn't going to be put back on even though it was only 8.45am We paid for both breakfasts in advance and would expect to at the very least get what we had paid for. I get that this is what you would call budget accommodation but even in other similar establishments we have stayed in putting on a couple of fried eggs for a guest would not have been an issue. Everything we asked for was a no, a lot more training on customer service is required in this establishment. Location is central to town. Room was only just ok even though it's basic, it needs modernising. Bed was comfortable but cobwebs on ceiling suggests not adequately deep cleaned. Needless to say we will not be back to stay.

Room was basic but comfortable and quiet. Receptionist was friendly and welcoming. Good value for what I needed.

Walkability: The hotel is on and Industrial Estate. Not much within walkable distance.
Food and drinks: There is a restaurant on site, however I did not use it.

Basic rooms, fresh & clean. Plentiful hot water. Very pleasant reception & bar staff. Dog friendly.

This was not what I expected at all booked one night paid for one night then when get to hotel have to pay a £50 damage deposit and then get told when room has been checked next day pending on your bank you could get money back to your account in 24hours I didn?t stay night due to personal reasons but rung up this morning to get told something different they said it would take 10 to 15 days before money goes back in your account just be very careful everyone as it?s not good I didn?t expect this at all and everything is card only no cash ???

Good price.great staff.butt both my towels were dirty.i stay in alot of hotels.this is one think I check before use.i used a spare hood to dry lol

Didn't much care for the location but was good for the price. We needed somewhere to stay for the week whilst work was being done in our home and this place was very nice.

We stayed at the Campanile hotel Wakefieldon the night of27th November. We booked the Disabled access room. The double bed was comfortable but pushed hard up against the wall so difficult to get out of bed to go to the loo. It was difficult to get into the shower because of the high lip around the base. The toilet was too high .
The service was good, the staff, Kelly and Sarah were great, patient and courteous and the breakfast was ample but expensive. There was no TV remote in the room and we were able to only access BBC 1

When I arrived at the hotel after a long journey, the hotel reciption denied my booking for 2 nights and claimed it is onenight only although I showed them the booking confirmation email. It was terrible time to wait uncertainly for long time trying to prove my booking details that was already paid while the staff kept saying I only have one night booked and refused to show the payment reciept of 2 nights from their side. I kept waiting at the reciption until they said they found my derails and did not even apologised for the time waiting because their aweful system.

Food and drinks: I arrived back from my business hungry that the evening to request food, I was shocked that they had nothing at all to serve as there were no restaurant staff that day as they said!!

Not a bad hotel if you're just looking to get your head down for the night

Very quiet location, minimal noise in surrounding area making for an easy nights sleep. Bed was very comfy.
