Awesome work from the Costa team at Wakefield Westgate station. Turned an Americano round in 1 and a half minutes (I was running late!) - followed me out to the platform with it as the train was pulling in. Great coffee too. Thanks fellas!

Posting this because they have a really irritating habit that should just be stopped. The coffee shop is in two parts, one before the barriers and one after the barriers and they are physically separated. The staff keep randomly closing the part after the barriers with no sign or notice before the barriers. This means that when/if once again they randomly close, you have to find a member of station staff to let you through the barriers. This habit is as irritating to the station staff as it is to the customers and there is no excuse for it.

A lovely spot for a nice hot coffee and warm delightful treats!Located inside the Wakefield Westgate Railway Station and it has 2 sections. One part is accessible from outside the ticket gate and the other one after the gate (before the platform).It offers indoor and outdoor seating. There is also a seating/waiting area for the station just outside this place. Great selection of snacks. Cosy, clean and nice atmosphere.Service was quick and easy. Staff is friendly and efficient.Wheelchair accessibility: It?s located on the ground level.

On the opening time on the door, it says they're open 8:30-5 but when I tried to go in at 4:30 the staff inside said they weren't open

Small Costa in Wakefield Westgate train station. Has two parts, one before the ticket barrier and a separate part afterwards which is usually quieter.Polite and fast service from the staff. The cafe is clean and well organised. Could benefit from some more comfy chairs like maybe a sofa or armchairs but space is limited.
