A cosy and inviting restaurant with delicious food! The owner, Asamnew, was such a friendly and welcoming host, who really took the time to explain the food and Abyssinian culture. The food was fantastically fresh, fragrant, and flavourful. All dishes being suitable for vegans was a real treat for someone like me! A great experience all around and I shall be a regular visitor of this wonderful restaurant.

Just an incredible atmosphere and incredible food. We came on a busy Wednesday and the place was full so I'm very glad we booked. Lovely family run business. If I lived closer it'd be a weekly visit ??

Wakefield?s hidden gem! Our experience at Corarima was perfect from start to finish. Our host was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. The food was outstanding - richly spiced and full of flavour. The restaurant is beautifully furnished and spotless clean. The whole experience was fantastic and further enhanced by the hosts stories of family traditions from Eritrea.
Thank you for a lovely afternoon yesterday. We will be back soon!

Our first (very belated) visit to Corarima, with a visiting friend - first of many for sure! Utterly excellent in all aspects, from the open-hearted welcome, the calm ambiance and the interesting conversation with the (co-) owner/waiter, to the spectacular cuisine and its immaculate presentation. All was perfect, and could not have been more enjoyable for the three of us. Thank you!

ust had an amazing meal at Corarima in Wakefield. The food was absolutely delicious ? every dish had its own unique flavour, and you could tell everything was super fresh and healthy too. Honestly couldn?t fault it. All vegan. The guy who runs it is really friendly and took the time to explain what everything was, which was really helpful. Service was spot on. Oh and the decor is lovely as well ? really nicely put together, it?s got a calm, welcoming vibe. Can?t wait to go back. Honestly don?t know why I haven?t been sooner!

Eritrean food that was delightful. And an ambiance that was warm and welcoming. The owner and the host was very engaging and explained the reason for plant based food at this all vegan restaurant. Loved our visit. Not to mention the personal connection my wife made with the owner about shared experiences living in Asmara back in the day!

I don?t often get to make strong recommendations for nice places to eat out, but when I do it's because it is absolutely worth it.
My husband and I tried Corarima in Wakefield, and I couldn?t not give them my praise.
The host who served us was one of the nicest, friendliest servers we?ve ever met, couldn?t tell us enough about the food, its origins, its originality, etc.
We had a sharing plate, and it was absolutely incredible ?
Diners are given a leaflet with information about the family?s story, as well as Ethiopian coffee, teff (a fine grain) and Injera (the bread made from the milled teff grain), and various other components that make up Abyssinian cuisine.
Perfect for gluten-free, vegan/vegetarian options.
If you should get a chance, or if you?re looking for wonderful food in the area, we 100% recommend Corarima. There?s a reason they have 5* reviews (out of over 500) on Google and have won many awards
You won't be disappointed.

Wonderful place, warm and helpful atmosphere, caters for all tastes inc vegan/gluten-free/the spice-averse XD Delicious drinks too, all fresh and tasty, would definitely go again if back in the area.

Let me start by mentioning I'm not vegan. We went here for the first time Saturday for a meal. From the moment you step in this is an amazing quaint well presented small restaurant. Our host, I'm guessing the owner was probably the friendliest and nicest waitor I've ever come across. We
made to feel like a familiar friend and so welcome. Every dish we ordered was explained to us with so much passion and detail. Even been a non vegan the food and spices combined was so amazing I felt like nothing was missing. Also try their in house home made drinks. Will definitely be back to try other dishes in the future

I found this little gem of a restaurant via the often-fails method of clicking ?restaurants? around my location on Google maps when staying in Wakefield for a night. Its 5 star rating made me click, wanting to prove my assumption that it had been open 5 minutes and had about 2 reviews. Discovering I was wrong and it had over 400 I decided I had to see whether it was really that great. You can believe the hype, it?s worth every single good review. I?m glad I knew it was open from the Google review because when I approached it looked quite dark and I potentially would have assumed it was closed. When I went in I found it to be cosy and beautiful decorated, with just the right number of covers for the space creating a wonderfully relaxed and homey atmosphere. I was warmly welcomed by the ?host? - I don?t use that word lightly, he absolutely earned it, being friendly, attentive and informative all evening. I had the mushroom stew which was glorious and a delicious fresh ginger and lemon tea. Food was spicy, which I love, but if it?s not your thing then best to ask - the menu didn?t really indicate it would be quite so hot. Menus posted on Google are clearly old ones and, just like everywhere, prices have risen so be prepared for this. Still worth every penny in my opinion.
