I went yesterday there to sell my phone, took my sim card off, left phone with them for a test (stated should be around an hour). Came back after that time, young lad said sim tray is broken and they can't test it further! They broke my phone because their staff don't know how to handle customers devices. Of course stated it was broken.... NEVER use this rubbish place with 0 skilled personnel!!!

Have bought lots of kit from here over the years. Staff mostly good with one or two exceptions. Stock mostly priced correctly though beware as you can often find items cheaper to buy new online.

Don't buy anything expensive from here, if it breaks they'll look for any excuse to void the warranty.I woke up to find my phone broken. Took it to CEX and due to an unrelated scuff mark, they refused to help. Now I'm left with a phone that cost £600+ that doesn't work, CEX refuse to repair it or refund me, even though I was only 6 months into a 24 month warranty and the fault was no fault of mine. The staff even said it was a common fault with that model of phone!I've learnt my lesson and will never be purchasing anything from CEX again.

Kind of hilarious reading the owner trying to defend prices and warranties. We once brought in a Wii Fit and received a quid for the controllers and gear, which were then sold for over £20. Trading should be 60/40, not 90/10. The offers on goods these days are a disgrace and shameless, while the warranties don't cover anything. Even if your phone has a fault, if they find a tiny little unrelated mark you'll get nothing repaired or refunded. You know you chat ****, accept it."Industry standards" doesn't make it okay, never said I agreed with any of them. That's also still wrong, when my phone was damaged my phone company replaced it free of charge because it wasn't my cause. Cex find an unrelated scuff mark on a phone and void their warranty, so don't lie about covering manufacturing faults when you deny they exist and call them physical damage. What if they are one and the same? You are the only company to be this stingent, I have had free warranty placements with three different companies, but you will count anything and everything as user damage.

You say you base your prices on current market value and demand so Explain why you sell second hand used games for more than you can buy new elsewhere for example jedi survivor you sell £55 but in for example asda new £48 and don't say we can't compete with supermarkets or it must be sale price regardless still cheaper and if you price match why not reduce b4 som eone asks(just incase they don't realise)
