It's not bad - well ? borderline. It has the things you need. It's not that cheap so look elsewhere first as we found today pricing up aggregates - the local garden centre's are cheaper and Morrisons is massively cheaper on compost ! B&Q are also slack at putting up notices for any bargains or reductions.
I'll only return when I'm desperate and have tried all other places first !

Most staff are friendly apart from this Lady called Tina at the counter. She dealt with me twice and made me uncomfortable with her attitude and not very helpful at all.

I don't think I'll be coming back here, from the moment I stepped in the door I had the security guard following me around like I was going to steal something. (I was wearing work trousers and a shirt, hardly dodgy looking for a diy store) So in the end I left before getting everything I need. When I went to pay, the cashier pressed a few buttons and went back to talking to her mate, all the while the security guard was hanging around trying to get me out.
I'll stick to Glasshoughton store, better selection, friendlier staff and I don't get made to feel like a thief.

Just been to B&Q Killingbeck in Leeds to collect a patio set the service was great, helpful staff, nothing was a problem and help to put in the car, miles apart from the unhelpful guy at Wakefield, who was basically lazy, lied to me about paint not been delivered and yet I had to find it myself on the shelf and sicastic about the postman hasn't been today. What a difference 15 miles can do for a customer experience.

Absolutely shocking costumer services flet Like a burden throughout the entire process by Catherine at the tills she proceeded to walk off I felt shown up and embarrassed never get this usually at thornbury branch in Bradford. Never one to complain but I have issued an official complaint won't be visiting again

Yeah, I went to this B&Q as I was working on a project at my friend's house, I got everything I needed; however, unfortunately, I didn't get the wood because, sadly, I don't own the tools needed to cut my wood, so I need a cutting service, alas they didn't have one.
And the saddest part was, when I asked a member of staff if there were any cutting services nearby, they weren't sure.
Granted, they don't have to tell me anything as I get it could be a conflict of interest, but it would be nice if there was more local knowledge to be as helpful as they could be.

Came into the store today around 2-3 and no staff on aisles apart from 1 member ?? Only other people in the store were on the tills. The one Staff member was preoccupied with another customer and i needed help finding something but how am i able to do that when theres only 1 staff member ?

I have been a couple of times recently and both the ladies on the mixed paint section have been friendly , helpful and cheerful . Couldn?t ask for more ? other staff are helpful too
