This pub looked really inviting from the outside at night, I was so dissapointed when I walked in.. I was hit with a really bad fusty smell (like a greenhouse smell) it was very over powering.. my partner bought two drinks and we sat at the back of the pub next to what looked like a serial killers chest freezer what they use to store body parts in.. the long scary walk to the toilet is very daunting aswell, like I was walking to my death (again to a serial killers cellar) expecting to be met by buffalo Bill..
I was surprised there being a Thai restaurant upstairs I could not smell any food, very confused.. I'm shocked this place has the reviews it has to be honest..
I will not be returning here any time soon. ??

We came into this place for a couple steady drinks while staying in the area.it looked very qwerky from the outside so we thought we would give it a try not to our knowledge it was going to smell like a compost heap when we walked in this put me off my drink as it was making me feel sick.i needed the toilet so I went down the death tunnel it was like something off the film hostel.very un clean I couldn't even see a sink in the men's toilet ?? to wash my hands.the guy behind the bar didn't even acknowledge us when we left and it wasn't even busy.we didn't try the food so can't comment on that but the pub area was rancid with two freezers in the corner that looked like they had been there since this building had been built it was like being in Denis Nilsson living room.very disappointed we will not be returning.

Good relaxed atmosphere with excellent beer and wine.
Some of the seating needs upgrading.

It's quite fun, but the lack of floor staff when it gets busy means you should be ready to bide your time. The spicier dishes seemed to be all burn for little flavour, but we still had a good meal

We enjoyed our visit, welcoming pub downstairs with some excellent beer and Thai restaurant upstairs. The food there was good and the service friendly and efficient. Would not hesitate to visit again next time we are in Tod.

Lovely pub-cum-Thai restaurant.
The seafood curry on the specials board had way too much chilli, but then I should probably have checked that before ordering.

Casta decided to finish off his day in Toddy with a visit to this bar cum restaurant. The restaurant is upstairs, the ground floor is a bar with three real ales on handpump. Had a pint of local brewery Eagles Crag Pale Eagle. Good bar.

Lovely food, but sadly ruined by a huge delay. Took our order after about 20 minutes and starters arrived within another 15 minutes, but the mains arrived nearly 2 hours after that. Woefully understaffed in both kitchen and front of house, and no effort made to manage our expectations. Such a shame.

Sat for 30 minutes while the waitress walked past us 10-15 times and didn?t acknowledge us. Unfortunately ended up leaving without ordering anything or even really being spoken to by a member of staff. It was only when we were leaving the waitress tried to take our order. Friendly and good atmosphere but overworked and poor service.
