Call to the Glen view inn last week on a whim as we were hungry, and as it has been recommended, we thought we would give it a try. And we were not disappointed we both had starters and main courses and the food was excellent and the vegetables were cooked to perfection not soggy like in some other establishments we have had the displeasure to come across you won't find this here the portions were genuinely generous the lady who served us was very pleasant and looked after us well we will definitely be returning thank you for a lovely meal keep us the great standard.

Great little place, recommended by a friend. Good food at a good price. It's nice to find a little gem like this.
Nice friendly staff and locals too.
Will definitely be returning.

If I could leave 0 stars I would what a disgrace of customer service we received today! Came all the way from out of town because the phone wasn?t ringing through for two young snotty girls to great us with we are fully booked and if we?ve not booked there?s no table anyway I explained the situation and said it?s okay I understand for them both to laugh at my family on the way out! Never had a problem here the foods always been great we took the risk to come but maybe your staff need training! What was so funny is what my question is considering there was only me my partner and little girl?

Visited recently, felt a little rushed, asking for order virtually straight away. Mains came out within about 5 mins. Food was OK, the mixed grill was not the best, chewy gammon and some of the steak was very gristly. We did encounter a problem, which the staff rectified, and we were given a free drink. The dessert was very nice. Will maybe be back in the future.

My family and I had been going to Glen View for years and always had a good experience in the past but we went yesterday on the 15th September 2024 to mark the 2 year anniversary of our dad's passing and had were treated badly , not by the waitresses they were lovely but by the chef, when we arrived she tried to rush us into ordering early which we did because there was 19 of us, so we understood.
What annoyed us is when we were eating our meals ,the waitresses were sent in to ask us to all budge up to one side of the room before the children had finished eating when there was no space to do so, we said no because they needed to finish eating, we were all getting ready to go and the chef barged in and said I must insist that you go now which was extremely rude, we were literally shovelled out , my brother asked this woman if we could have a discount for being thrown out and she blatantly said NO.
The woman I paid at the bar was rude to me too , had a bad attitude, she was flippant about who had what and how it all needed paying for when we all had a listed , named tab each to keep things simple,
We spent a fortune in there yesterday and were treated with contemp, we didn't deserve this and especially not on a memorial day for our dad.
Having loved this place and recommending it to many in the past, I would not feel comfortable to go again !
